My name is Rebecca. I've been a professional care giver for over 19years. I love my job because it has so many rewards within itself. I've managed a 6 man group home for the last 4 years with only minuscule issues. Regardless of the fact that I have children at home I'm quite flexible with scheduling although I would love to work mornings while my children are at school, it's not a must and I have no problem doing overtime.

I feel what makes me a great caregiver are a few reasons: I'm experienced in this field, I'm patient and I know what to expect and how to handle whatever occurs from the job. I became a caregiver because it was similar to the very first job I had, which was a patient attendant at U of M Hospital, that was a rewarding job that I enjoyed, and ever since then I've been in this field most of my time working. I like being a caregiver because I like helping people, and the job is very rewarding despite things that may occur on the job. I have my CNA diploma.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I am caring, compassionate, honest, dependable. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy seeing people happy and healthy. I am proud that I assisted one of my clients with achieving her health goal of getting off insulin. I have been doing homecare for over 15 years. I also have four years experience in a manager position. I also have hoyer lift and end of life experience.

I am a very loving and caring person I love taking care of the elderly. I been a nursing assistant since I was 18 yrs old never wanted to really do anything else but take care of people. I like getting to no them about there families. I like to make them smile comfort them the best I no how. I am fully vaccinated, and have my booster. I haven't been able to submit an image of my vaccination card to the site, but if you are interested in hiring me, I can send the image through communications (texts, email, etc.). I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities, and respond well in emergency situations. I do have a cat allergy.

My Personality traits I am people person . Love to have conversation. Love to see others smile and laugh even more on their bad days. I always loved healthcare since I was a child. I love to be a person support person . Their go to person whenever they need help. I enjoy helping people get better . I always get a good feeling when I made someone day or help them with grabbing a object . I'm very proud that I have gained my CNA license . I work and studied hard for my license . I have been doing this for 3 years now and my skills have flourished over the years .

I am truly passionate about caring for others, whether it's children or seniors or someone with a disability; it means a lot to me to be able to do so. Over the years I have gained exceptional skills to be able to provide families with care for their loved ones. I am honest and dependable and always on time. I started out in this field at a very young age and have built so many relationships during my journey. What attracted me to patient and client care initially was my genuine love for caring for others and the ability to make a difference. I've become experienced in memory care, dementia care, long term care, hospice, youth care, developmentally disabled care, and general patient care which I did through Michigan Medicine.
