I'm 46 years old. I been married 19 years and have a 18 year old son who just graduated this year. I personally love being a caregiver. I've done it on and off for about 10 years now. I've always liked to help people and have customer service jobs but at the same time I knew I wanted to do more, so one day I was offered to be a caregiver and I accepted it and have loved it since. I was a private caregiver for almost a year and not to long after that I become a private caregiver for another lady for about the same time. I did get out of it for a little bit because when they passed away it was hard on me and I had to find away to deal with it because I knew in my heart it was what I was suppose to do and that's what brought me to Carelinx . The best part about being a caregiver is being able to attend to the individual needs of each client and to be able to provide some peace for them in what can be a very trying time.

I was working in a nursing home and I felt some people feel better with one on one care,and being home They can get that. I love be able to help with everyday needs,and learning more about elders life. Two years ago I took over my family business and started taking care of more people. I have been doing private nursing for 25 years,and really enjoy it,I cant see me doing anything else.

First of all, I always go into a home knowing that I will be making a wonderful friend. I love the elderly; I love their different personalities and all their "Life" stories. It gives my heart great joy to be able to make them smile. It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
