I like what I do because I used to have a disable and handicap son and he die and I decided to work in this to help the people in need if I am understand and use my experience in what I know to work to help does people in need beside my work I do voluntary job too and I am very proud for what I do I have more than 35 years experience but I don't have any license but I want to take it

I believe I'm a great caregiver because I am passionate and caring I love taking care of people and helping them anything I could do to make a person's life better makes me feel better about myself. I started in the field because I do enjoy caring for people so much. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

I believe a caregiver should be someone that the patient can trust undoubtedly, and be able to bond with. After all we spend so much time with someone in their home everyone needs to be comfortable. I don't just see caring for people as a service but an honor. From the time I was 14 years of age, I have been a caregiver. My brother was in a horrific car accident that left him paralyzed. I learned quickly how to care for him. After he regained some semblance of his life back he retreated towards drug use. I sat with him through withdraws and recovery. Now 33 years later he is still clean. I have been a CNA,HHA,PCA, office personnel, a farm manger, a part of construction crews, and a HVAC Technician. I have met many people with different abilities, both intellectual and physical.
