Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I am great at everything i do. Very out going and i have a deep care for other's. Nursing is not about the rate of pay, I believe it is about compassion for other's . I love what I do. And to be apart of someones life and provide exceptional care. I am a mother of 3 , hard working and very friendly. At every care position i have held i have received multiple rewards and recognition from the care I give. I do not feel inadequate in any aspect of my life, training or my abilities as a caregiver/ nurse.

I'm a 34 year old nurse assistant. I've been in this career doing what I love for over 15+ years. Alzheimer's and dementia are my passion to work with. I love health care and caring for people especially elderly it brightens up my day to be around them and to know I am able to help them and make an impact on their life's . I am very energetic and responsible and a very loving person . I have been in the health care field for 2 years now caring for the elderly and absolutely love everything about it . I enjoy working with the elderly, i have been in the home caring field for little over 10 years. I am easy going, I believe treating people the way I would like to be treated. I take care of the clients as I would my own loved one. I am 66 years old have one child living with three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I ensure to keep my self busy.

I think I am a great caretaker because I actually take the time to care for elderly as they are my family. I've been working as a nursing assistant since 1982. Now with my family grown and on their own I've decided to go back to school for an RN degree. I haven't started school yet but am looking for a flexible schedule so I can go back. I've worked over the years in many local nursing homes and have enjoyed the residents and their families. I've been fortunate to work with many great aides and nurses who have had knowledge to give and shown how to multi task as necessary. I've worked on 2nd and 3rd shifts primarily and would like to work on 3rd shift. This is how I percieve my position: People come in all shapes, colors and sizes, they all are in need of loving care, a warm smile and someone to talk to, they need comfort, a clean invironment, family and a warm meal. These I would want for myself or my own family and they are necessary for peace of mind. I've seen all kinds of problems great and small but what I've noticed about most folks is that they just want to know someone cares about them. That's were nursing assistants come in to fill the gaps between doctors, nurses and family.

I am a very patient, outgoing, positive person. My grandmother raised me so I have a special place in my heart for the elderly. All of my patients are treated as I would treat my grandmother; FAMILY. I love being a caregiver because being able to help someone live as close to a normal life as they can, warms my heart. Leaving them with a smile on their face at the end of the day is what keeps me going. A personal achievement I am most proud of is having my two children. They are my entire universe and keep me motivated each and everyday.
