I'm a very caring, honest person who has over 14 yrs experience in Nursing. I specialize in Geriatrics with an emphasis on Dementia & Alzheimer's. I have worked as a Charge Nurse at nursing home & assisted living facilities & have decided to go into Home Care so I can provide one on one care. I don't mind helping with daily activities and any other personal needs.

Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I am great at everything i do. Very out going and i have a deep care for other's. Nursing is not about the rate of pay, I believe it is about compassion for other's . I love what I do. I think I am a great caretaker because I actually take the time to care for elderly as they are my family. I have a big heart for children and elderly that's what interested me in taking care of the elderly on my own. I enjoy the one on one time with them. I've been working as a nursing assistant since 1982. Now with my family grown and on their own I've decided to go back to school for an RN degree. I haven't started school yet but am looking for a flexible schedule so I can go back. I've worked over the years in many local nursing homes and have enjoyed the residents and their families. I've been fortunate to work with many great aides and nurses who have had knowledge to give and shown how to multi task as necessary. I've worked on 2nd and 3rd shifts primarily and would like to work on 3rd shift. This is how I percieve my position: People come in all shapes, colors and sizes, they all are in need of loving care, a warm smile and someone to talk to, they need comfort, a clean invironment, family and a warm meal. These I would want for myself or my own family and they are necessary for peace of mind. I've seen all kinds of problems great and small but what I've noticed about most folks is that they just want to know someone cares about them. That's were nursing assistants come in to fill the gaps between doctors, nurses and family.

1: I became a care giver because i have a handicap sister. taking care of her is the best feeling in the world. to put a smile on her face every day is priceless. She is the reason i choice to help others. 2; I like being a care giver because i like to know that i helped someone who has a disability. I like to see a smile on there face when they have the help. 3: I have worked with the handicap and i also have a sister who is handicap. i am proud of the fact that i can help them live a normal life by treating them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. 4: I am a young energetic person. I respect others and treat them how i would like to be treated. Im not lazy. I might be young and not have the years of experience that others do but i learn fast and i am will to learn whatever is needed. I have been taking care of my sister who is 15 now. dont say no just because of my age.
