I realized while taking care of my mother through her batter with cancer, whilst solely raising a young child that helping people is what I do best. My experience with various clients and conditions has shown me that I have the best temperament to deal with any situation. I also find that I'm the happiest when I'm taking care of someone else. I have a diverse background from construction to manufacturing. But, I am only ever satisfied when I'm helping make someone else's life easier. I'm also a great listener and have grown white fond of the elderly, and anybody else in need of someone who truly cares about people.

My empathy compassion and understanding make me a great care giver . Having family members with disabilities is what made me want to become a caregiver. Knowing I'm able to help someone's life be better with my help .

Greetings! My name is Lindsay Motes, and I have extensive experience working as a professional caregiver with ages 4 up to seniors. Here is a snapshot of information about me: After receiving my B.A. in Music Education, I continued with school and completed a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Family Psychology. I have effective communication skills, and find that having an open, honest, and empathetic approach towards others is the best way to find out my client's needs. Additionally, I take a solution-focused approach to all situations in my personal and professional life. For many years I have worked with foster children and veterans. I was responsible for securing a stable and loving home for the children who came from abusive and neglectful situations. I also learned a great deal about childhood and adulthood trauma, and have helped many people face and overcome obstacles that hinder them due to the traumatic events in their past and current situations. I help my client's identify their physical, emotional, and mental health needs and empower them with the tools to meet those needs successfully. What a rewarding experience it is for both of us and our family's! In closing, I would like to mention that I have been fortunate to meet and work with people from a variety of backgrounds. I consistently provide a sincere, caring, and empathetic approach to everyone I meet. I am a devoted advocate of diversity, equality, and inclusion, and I am a team player! I became a care giver because I love working with people especially the elderly. I love taking care of the elderly and I love the companionship. They have so many stories to tell and they still have so much to offer. They have sent their lives taking care of people and it's time for someone to care for them. My greatest personal achievement is obtaining my CNA license. It is the first thing I have started and finished since high school. Also, being a mother is another thing that is important to me. I am a mother of 2 lovely children I am 31 years old. I work at the Abbeville Nursing Home.

I was a critical care nurse for 12 years in Orlando Florida, I am retired . I took care of my father with cancer for 6 years and my mother who had cancer a stroke blind in one eye for years. I also help the Amish in Ohio with elderly care medical instruction and medications. I enjoy working with elderly people and being an individual with mild fibromyalgia myself I understand and can relate to a person experiencing pain and disability. My mother was a nurse and worked until her 70,s. I worked in the funeral industry 6 years after retiring from nursing. I attend church pre-Covid on sundays and enjoy my grown grandchildren here in Greenville. I prefer to work afternoons and evenings or weekends.
