I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

I have Self-control, sincere, devoted, generous, and kind. As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. This is my personal achievement that I am most proud of in my career as a care giver.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter. This prompts me to treat others the same way I would wish to be treated or cared for in case I was in that position. My greatest achievement is putting a smile on someone i have given care for. To me this is very rewarding

I am a very dedicated person who take my job seriously, very passionate with my Job and take delight in doing what I do. Being a Caregiver is very rewarding to me and always treat my Client with dignity and respect and treat them as my own. Taking care of my dying Mother at a younger age gave me the pride to take that path and to always take care of my Client with a passion. I am very dedicated and take my job seriously. The fact that I am able to put a smile of Clients face and to take care of them with joy and pride alone fills my heart with happiness and makes me grateful each day for choosing that path. I have taken care of a lot of Client for all this years and being able to take care of a particular Client for more than 4years when Doctors had told the family She had 6 months to live a lone makes my happy. Care is not only about taking care of someone but as to how you treat the person and make them feel makes a huge difference. That made me so proud of my self because it made me realize I made a difference and I did my job as a caregiver and recognized the client as a family of my own

I started Caregiving over 25 years ago. I have always enjoyed assisting clients. I have worked in home health care, private duty, and caregiving facilities. My roles included caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Med Tech and Supervisor, and Nursing Assistant Educator. Due to my passion for caregiving, I became a Registered Nurse in 2012. As a registered Nurse, I traveled to patients' homes, wrote Care Plans, and trained and tested Nursing Assistants. I have spent the last few years homeschooling and raising my children. I miss caregiving and ready to start my career again. Even though I am Registered Nurse, I am interested in a caregiver role. I want to spend time with my clients. I enjoy helping clients where needed, while understanding independence is essential. I love the development of a relationship with my clients and families in whatever way they build. My personality includes empathy, patience, and kindness. I like to be on time and take my work seriously. When I am not caregiving, I enjoy paddle boarding, skating, hiking, camping, guitar, and life.

Taking of care of patients and assisting those in need is my passion. As a mother myself I treat my patients as I take of my children. I love meeting new people and taking care of their needs.
