I am a very easy going person. My personality is my best trait. My mother was confined to a wheelchair due to Muscular Dystrophy from the time I was 18 months old until I lost her in 2009. Taking care of her just led to me naturally becoming a caregiver. It's what I know.

Caring for others has been a lifelong passion of mine! I'm happiest when helping others, so I find this field of work very rewarding in many ways. I grew up watching my mother learn and be a great nurse so she is definitely my inspiration. What I enjoy most is definitely just making a difference, being able to be there and insert patience and understanding in a situation of discomfort. Many don't understand how hard it can be to accept help when you have always helped others yourself, that's the role of a caregiver.

I've been a caregiver PCA for 16 years caring for the elderly in their homes helping with daily living activities. I have always loved caregiving since I was a little girl my church would have us go to nursing homes and spend some time with the residents. I enjoyed doing their hair and nails and singing with them and just spending time with them. Made me decide to be a caregiver. I enjoy helping others and being able to give them the opportunity to stay in their homes with their families while I come to them to care for them.

I have experience supporting individuals with daily living skill, meal preparation, medication reminders and emotional support. I was drawn to caregiving because I naturally enjoy helping others and being someone people can rely on. Hello, my name is Amy Stinson. I'm a certified/Licensed CNA in Buckingham County. I've been a licensed CNA since 2018. My very first patient as a CNA was my father. Although I started being a Caregiver when I was 18. I've always loved taking care of elderly people. It's always been a passion of mine to be able to care for someone that needs a little extra help. Not everyone has people to care for them, that's why I'm passionate about being a great Caregiver. Just being there for someone in their time of need and putting a smile on their face, is what I love most about my job. When I go home at the end of the day, my heart is full because I know I'm making a difference to someone just by being their for them. Getting my CNA license was one of my biggest accomplishments, because I love being able to take care of people and I love that they trust me to be their Caregiver.
