Hello, my name is Amy Stinson. I'm a certified/Licensed CNA in Buckingham County. I've been a licensed CNA since 2018. My very first patient as a CNA was my father. Although I started being a Caregiver when I was 18. I've always loved taking care of elderly people. It's always been a passion of mine to be able to care for someone that needs a little extra help. Not everyone has people to care for them, that's why I'm passionate about being a great Caregiver. Just being there for someone in their time of need and putting a smile on their face, is what I love most about my job. When I go home at the end of the day, my heart is full because I know I'm making a difference to someone just by being their for them. Getting my CNA license was one of my biggest accomplishments, because I love being able to take care of people and I love that they trust me to be their Caregiver.

I became a certified nursing assistant in 2014. I've done volunteer work at the Appomattox Rehabilitation Center since 2010, where I've learned many of my skills from. I'm dedicated to my job and I put my clients before me because I love what I do.

I am a very caring and passionate person. I love helping other and being there to help make things easier for them so that they don't have to worry about it. What attracted me to wanting to become a caregiver is knowing that you have some people out that needs help but don't really have anyone that can be there to help them. Some families have to work so they can't always be there for their elderly family members and to know that I can be trusted to go in and help take care of and make sure their elderly family members of even disabled family is properly cared for and kept safe while they were away from home means a lot to me. I chose to become a nurse because not everyone can always get the care that they need or their families work so to be able to fill that role makes me happy. A personal achievement that I am proud of I would say becoming a CNA and now working my way into becoming an LPN in just a few months.
