One moment in my care giving experience that I am most proud of is when I was caring for a woman in the late stages of Parkinson's disease. She was difficult to understand and it was difficult for past caregivers to communicate with her. I initiated teaching her Yes and No in American Sign Language and she was able to use her better hand to respond to questions that I asked. I also initiated the company getting a communication device for her as to provide a better route of communication for future caregivers.
