I'm a great caregiver because I have worked with so many different people I am able to adapt to their individual needs. I have an outgoing personality and I enjoy making people feel special. I started caregiving when I was young. I have one uncle who was born with epilepsy and he's mentally handicapped. I enjoy the moments of joy I can share with my clients and the peace of mind that I can bring their loved ones. I take lots of pictures of our outings and smiles to share with loved ones. When working with my last client I streamlined the time card process and I also found misuse of the clients debit card by one of the other employees. I also started a few different procedures for everyone to fallow so we could be more consistent with his care. I was my mother's caregiver from 2011 when she broke her hip and they discovered lung cancer during her trip to the ED, to her stroke in 2012, to her recurrent lung cancer in 2013. At that time, I was employees at Bekaert-Deslee textiles in Winston Salem, and stayed on there until 2021. I decided on a career change, and what made me finally decide as a caregiver was the bedside manner of the nurse from hospice that came to our house. She had such a great caring personality, and you could tell it wasn't fake or put-on. If I can give someone even a fraction of what she passed on to us, I would consider myself very blessed, for blessed are the smile-makers
