Hi, my name is Brianna and the things that make me a great caregiver are compassion, patience empathy and willingness to do whatever it takes to help someone. I have been a cna for 5 years now and have worked in just about every health care setting and with all types of patients, Caregiving is not just a job. It is a chance to help someone else's situation or life be a little easier. It's a way to show someone cares about them and in return those who help actually end up learning something from those they help. What i really enjoy most about being a caregiver is the conversation and stories about their lives and to see how no matter how different we could be their are still similarities found . Everyone needs to have personal goals and achievements. I am proud of all my achievements in my life but my top two are graduating from college and having my son. Two things I have always wanted since I knew what I wanted to be and do in life.

Hey, I'm Shakara Boles and for over the last 2 years and 4 months I been working with resident in a nursing home. I have a bachelors in psychology. But some where along the way I just fell in love with taking care of people. I knew that I wanted to help people but did not know it was by becoming a CNA. I'm very hardworking, determined, kind hearted, loving, and caring. Also ontop of working I am a mother of a 5 year old daughter and 6 months ago added another child into my daily routine my 4 year old niece. I'm a cheer coach ontop of that but never is to busy to take care of everything that's need to be done. I really didn't know what I would be doing after graduating school but before I graduated from college; I took a CNA course to make extra money but after doing it for so long I just fell in love with it all and I just couldn't leave it. I enjoy every moment about being a caregiver because I know I'm making a big difference into someone else life especially someone family member that they care for. It's never a dual moment having this as a career but it helps motivate you and keep you up on your toes to make sure that someone that is not related to you get all the help they need. I am proud of everything I have accomplish in my life time because I'm making a future that not only for me but my child and niece as well. One thing I am proud of that I can say is that becaming a CNA was the best decision I made because it helped me to become a better person and my love has grown even more because of this. I would not change any decision I made to become one.

For 25 years I worked as a retail pharmacist and I have always loved talking to people and helping them understand their medicines. However, I have really enjoyed the satisfaction that comes from providing one on one care. I have been an in home caregiver for over a year now and I love learning from my clients. One has taught me some amazing old recipes and another loves telling me about life when she was a little girl almost 90 years ago. I love bringing a smile to my clients' faces and a sense of calm and peace to their lives.

I was an RN for 14 years predominately in oncology, 3 years in Hospice home health. I am the mother and caregiver of a 43 year old son with quadriplegic cerebral palsy so I am very experienced with disabilities and needed equipment. I cared for my mother, who had alzheimer's disease. I have been a church secretary for the last two years. I am a very compassionate, caring person with a positive personality and a good sense of humor. I want to be a Caregiver.

Hi my name is VaShanti. I've been considered to be caring, innovative, and passionate. When I was younger I often helped my grandmother with things such as shopping, cleaning, administering her insulin, and cooking due to her physical limitations. Since then I've developed a heart and passion for helping others. Later in life I took on the role as a caregiver/ direct support staff. What I enjoy most about my work is being able to help my clients feel greater beyond their limitations. I want my clients to be comfortable no matter what. With that being said my goal is to prove to my clients' that I am a trustworthy helping hand and that I care. My previous work was with bright spring health where I worked with the mentally ill and physically limited . I built relationships with all of my clients so that I could understand their needs and wants better. I've learned a lot from my clients in return. While being employees with brightspring health I was promoted to DSP Lead and soon later home manager. I am a great caregiver because I care! I personally feel that because of the type of care my biological grandmother and adoptive mother provided to me from their own angle, is what attracted me to being an individual that is able to help others in ways that they can't...in a healthcare way. I enjoy listening to people. Sometimes companionship is all they need or want. I became a caregiver when I realize, no one else was going to be able to fill the needs of my granny, Granny had a stroke and blood disease but was ok .. I was in Atlanta about to open hair salon with my best friend, Meanwhile I get call from my daughter granny wasn't getting any better. A week later I went home to visit granny as I walked around the house and saw how poorly she was managing, I knew I had make a difficult choice. I walked away from my business ... and put my life on hold. as it were to care for my granny who have giving so much to this world ..It was a choice , but it was also true that choosing not to help her was not an option , Not a choice and obligation to the one we love.. Before granny pass she would always say to me .. you are God's choosing one.. Love ! After that I took care of my best friend mom,,and my neighbors love ones .. I've always know my calling was to help others at the same time I knew I wanted to be caregiver
