I am naturally caring and compassionate person; doing just so will give me the sense of ability, that I am providing a very important & really good support to the person I am caring for. A personal achievement for me was when one of the toughest person I am taking care of stated that I just made him feel important and apologizes for being mean and asked me to take care of him from that day on. And when I simply cover them with blanket while sleeping and says to you " Your such a sweet person and thank you for taking care of me every night ". And that feeling of warmth fulfilment when I simply put a smile and genuine laugh when they see me. Those are huge accomplishments for me because at the end of the day, I go to sleep smiling knowing that - I just made someone's day. It made me feel driven to do more the next day and repeat. I am hardworking, caring, compassionate, patient, understanding, dependable, reliable and flexible and a sucker for life stories. I had worked at Assisted Living and Memory Care Community for more than 7 yrs & as a Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician. I had been an independent Caregiver for more than 10 years & counting. I am my own boss :) and I have several individuals that I care for. I assisted individuals on their daily living routine i.e. Dressing, grooming, bathing, escorting, preparing their meals, assisting on their medication management. Assistance on incontinence care example changing their depends, emptying urinal and catheter. Light housekeeping and companionship. Post-op Surgery Care. My services could simply be as follows: picking lunch/dinner, assistance on taking medications including insulin or checking sugar levels, making meals, running errands, giving rides to medical appointments, hair appointment And/or shopping & walking/exercise. I initially became a caregiver when my great grand father came to live with my family when I was sixteen years old. At first it was a family duty but it quickly became a career choice. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love and enjoy helping others. It is a very satisfying as well as gratifying position to hold because you are not just assisting the patient/client with their daily living but you are also helping their families and primary caregivers as well. Taking care of an elderly or disabled family member can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience, so being allowed to help families take a well needed break from their responsibility is a very rewarding position. I began my professional career as a caregiver in 1998. I worked for several clients through the private sector before becoming employed with a home healthcare agency in 2001. During my employment there I quickly became a Senior care associate, which not only allowed me the honor and privilege of caring for patients but I was also a trainer and supervisor of other caregivers. Becoming a training/supervisor is an achievement that I am truly proud of because it proved that I was very good at my job and that I took the position very seriously. I am highly competent and very professional caring and compassionate all of the qualities that every good caregiver should possess.

I have been in the medical field care giving for 25+ years. I am a Registered Medical Assistant with the State of California. I am CPR, BLS, AED & First Aid certified. I have the compassion and patience necessary to care for a parent, an elderly parent or grandparent. I am trustworthy and always on time. I am educated in medication management & administration. I am a great cook, good at housekeeping, personal hygiene care and companionship. I am flexible with whatever hours might be needed.
