I initially became a caregiver when my great grand father came to live with my family when I was sixteen years old. At first it was a family duty but it quickly became a career choice. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love and enjoy helping others. It is a very satisfying as well as gratifying position to hold because you are not just assisting the patient/client with their daily living but you are also helping their families and primary caregivers as well. Taking care of an elderly or disabled family member can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience, so being allowed to help families take a well needed break from their responsibility is a very rewarding position. I began my professional career as a caregiver in 1998. I worked for several clients through the private sector before becoming employed with a home healthcare agency in 2001. During my employment there I quickly became a Senior care associate, which not only allowed me the honor and privilege of caring for patients but I was also a trainer and supervisor of other caregivers. Becoming a training/supervisor is an achievement that I am truly proud of because it proved that I was very good at my job and that I took the position very seriously. I am highly competent and very professional caring and compassionate all of the qualities that every good caregiver should possess.

I was certified and successfully completed my Personal Care Assistant Training Course, and I had 8 yrs. of caregiving experienced, I had a sincere desire to help people in need and provide them compassionate care. I had a personality that is patient,caring, mature, and sensitive to a client needs. My personal achievement in life that I am proud of, is when I finished my 24 yrs. working as a Customer Associate.

I have been a caregiver my whole life It started with observing my Mother. I don't reserve my caregiving to just people, it just requires care. I like to bring Joy to those who have lost so much, and they are usually the nicest people. In several cases I have been one of the last people to help them feel "normal" . My ideal job would be for someone who wants to "get better". I have great energy for thatAt the end of the day you feel good by helping to stretch out normal It can get stressful, but i enjoy what I do.. I have been at the feet of people who are passing, and the feet of someone who died and returned. I can help with physical therapy, am a good cook, and know our hospitals. I can do far more than clean.

What makes me a great caregiver is I love helping and caring for elderly clients. I choose to become a caregiver because I have a passion for caring for clients I have family that I care for and my love caring for them and keeping happy. I like the type of work I do because clients need good caregivers that have a passion for this kind of job I also went to medical School to become a Medical Assistant there again I am around client, patients every day. I am proud of a personal achievement I made up my mine to go back to school I didn't think I can do with everything going on I graduated from medical school as a Medical Assistant I am very proud of my self that I did what I said what was going to do.
