I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. My personal achievement I am proud of is going to Psych Tech school that help me gain more knowledge and understanding of human behavior and disorders.

Unfortunately, when I was younger, my family was in a car accident and one of my family members were killed. Since then I have always said I wanted to be a nurse to take care of people. I like to see people getting the help they need. Eventually I became a nurse (LVN).

My name is Margaret. I am experienced caregiver of at least 12 years. I have worked in skilled nursing to private care. I worked with elders with dementia to memory care. I love caring for elders as they have so much love and wonderful stories to tell .

My personality traits consist of being upbeat with a positive outlook on life. I offer companionship and help with everyday chores and health without my client having to compromise their precious time and giving the simplicity of being able to enjoy the companionship that I offer and also of others without the work and tasks of the everyday life hassles getting in the way of you visiting with family and friends. The things that attracted me to being a caregiver were my grandparents who I had the chance to spend a lot of time with as a child and ultimately was blessed to help them through the end stages of life and take the journey along side them. That was when I knew this is where I needed to be. I enjoy being there for those that simply just need an ear or helping hand and those who need someone in their life to get their minds off of the heartbreak of certain everyday life events and disabilities. Hello my name is Maggie, im caring, dependable, i have a big heart, patient always ready for a challenge. Iv been a caregiver for over 10 years now. I love caring for people, i started while caring for my aunts, uncles, grandmother. I brached off from there. I knew then i was ment to care for people in need. So many families need help with their loved ones. My personal achievement that im proud of is im furthering my career in the medical field to continue to help people .

I became a caregiver to help others in their time in need, its fullfilling knowing that i can help someone, even if its just to sit and lend a ear to them. The best part of being a caregiver is seeing the smiles on my clients faces, knowing that i did something good for him/her. It made me proud to hear from my co workers that if they found another client they would love to bring me along with them because they know im reliable and trustworthy, that in itself is a great personal accomplishment i can say i have.
