I started caregiving for elderly and disabled in high school for family friends for several families . I later was a pharmacy technician for many years and worked as a care taker for several of my customers. I was chosen because I was reliable, patient and treated them like they were my family.

I am proud to say that being a caregiver, i became a very very understanding person dealing with clients. I developed a close bond to my clients, spending time with them listening to their stories. Hello! I'm currently a CNA and EMT. The main reason I became a caregiver is because I want to make a difference in someone's life. I also just enjoy working with people and taking care of and assisting those who may have difficulty with certain activities. I have worked in both a facility and home setting, but I enjoy the home setting because I am able to be one on one with my patient to make deeper connections. I pay attention to detail and I'm very patient, I understand that sometimes there may be changes in plans and that things may not always go as planned, but I can adjust to any situation and make decisions that are best for my patient.
