I'm a mature, dependable, dedicated and compassionate caregiver with over 40 years experience. I've raised 3 children, cared for my husband and father who both battled cancer for several years before their deaths. For 7 years I cared for my elderly mother in my home when she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. I help care for my 17 year old grandson, born with a genetic disorder and severely disabled his entire life. He has a feeding tube and needs constant care. I have worked through Carelinx and Visiting Angels and have had the pleasure of assisting many clients.

I am a 42-year-old male who have worked in long term care facility. 6 years as a certified nurse assistance prior to becoming a License Vocational Nurse. I worked as a charge nurse and a wound care nurse for 15 years. I loved and enjoyed working with the elderly. I get great fulfillment knowing I'm making a difference in their lives. I have experience with Foley catheters, G-tubes, NG tube and tracheostomy care. I've worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patient. I also have experience with rehab since I've worked hand-in-hand with physical therapy and Occupational therapy to meet plan of care of patients post surgery. On the past three years I've been working as a private caregiver and really enjoy it more than working in a long-term care facility. I could focus more on my patient/client and give them the full attention and care they need.
