I chose caregiving because I am in school for healthcare; I love science and my emphasis is epidemiology. More than anything I love to hear people's life story, I feel caregiving provides the bridge to form a special trust, and experience another person's life. Caregiving enables me become more familiar with empathy, and to more intimately recognize the reality of the human condition.

Hello my name is Sandie. I have helped people with Dementia, Parkinsons, Physical Theropy, AFIB, and Cancer. I can do light housekeeping, meal prep., run errands, take to appts, go for walks, grooming, shower assisting, dressing and companion care. I will give my full attention when assisting them. Sometimes they just would like to talk and i'm great listener! I find it very rewarding helping seniors. At the end of the day when I leave them knowing I made them feel comfortable and cared for, it's all worth it. The smile they give you knowing they trust you, really makes me feel good, especially when they consider you part of their family.

I am a 42-year-old male who have worked in long term care facility. 6 years as a certified nurse assistance prior to becoming a License Vocational Nurse. I worked as a charge nurse and a wound care nurse for 15 years. I loved and enjoyed working with the elderly. I get great fulfillment knowing I'm making a difference in their lives. I have experience with Foley catheters, G-tubes, NG tube and tracheostomy care. I've worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patient. I also have experience with rehab since I've worked hand-in-hand with physical therapy and Occupational therapy to meet plan of care of patients post surgery. On the past three years I've been working as a private caregiver and really enjoy it more than working in a long-term care facility. I could focus more on my patient/client and give them the full attention and care they need.

my name is stephanie and im looking to start my caregiving career out here in tehachapi im originally from san bernardino I did attend hs in mojave . after graduation in 07 I moved back to sb where then in 2009 I started my caregiving career. which I enjoy and love so much I had experienced working with 4 different companys where ive learned to care for mental disabilities, dementia care , Parkinsons , MS. ive worked with hospice patients incontinence care I do housekeeping , meal prep transportation if needed , med management, laundry and I enjoy the campanionship . im very sweet and quite at first but I warm up .. I take pride in what I do . I take care of my patients as if they are my family .

I'm patient and caring. I only want the best for those I care for! I have been doing this for close to 10 yrs. I started out quite accidently. I was just trying to be a helpful neighbor! I not only try to be there for my client but also the family...they also need support in making decisions for their loved ones.

I am 34 years of age, 6ft 4" in height and have been in the industry for more than 6 years. Have looked after numerous cases that require different types of need:- From Companionship to quadriplegic and/or bed ridden cases. I worked for a convalescent home that had 5 residents. In addition to this I have had numerous private clients that I provided a 1 to 1 care for at their home. I am First Aid and CPR certified. I am very easy to get along with and and a very clean worker. I cook and drive. I get along well with Male and Female clients the same. My hobbies are playing the piano, guitar and singing, and I currently sing and play guitar at my church on Sundays. I have a California Drivers License and I have my own car (with insurance). I am very kind and at the same time I am firm with the patient's/ client's health care needs i.e. PT, diet and medication. I also want to say that I come from the Islands of Fiji and it is inculcated and ingrained in our culture to look after our elders and provide care for them when they age. So this is nothing new to me. It is inherent and I have a heart for it. I Do not smoke or drink and have not abused any drug or alcohol. Other qualifications I have are IT certificates, and a bachelors degree in Economics and Public Admin and Business Management.

I became a caregiver back in 2002 at Huntington Memorial hospital and love working with people that needed my help it makes me feel happy when I see a smile on there face , I also understand the struggle of everday life . I am here to help with the process of making it a little easier and help to see that love one is happy and comfortable , I have been a CNA / HHA since 2004 I've worked with home health down to Hospice every case is different and I've done lots of different work as a CNA /HHA. I've worked with clients or patients with Alzheimer and Dementia, parkinson's , quadriplegic , patients that have had strokes . What motivates me to be a caregiver is seeing a smile on a residents face, when I listen to them tell me what their needs are, and encourage independence while motivating them to be self sufficient. I care for people, this is the most rewarding job I have ever had.
