I love the fulfillment I receive by being a care giver. My first job, off the farm, was as a CNA in a retirement home. There I cared for one of several wings full of elderly people all with various levels of need. I have found that working with the elderly and being able to bring stability and comfort to their daily lives, the most rewarding job I've ever had. I take care of elderly couples in their 90's to ensure their life quality at home. Love my references.... Today, my grandma is still living independently in a very large home; at the age of 99; that she has maintained for many years. With some outside help, such as myself, she is able to go on living there instead of a retirement home. I look forward to working with my clients and see how I can make things safe and capable for them. I've also come to realize, that even a person, my own age, can have so many needs too and with just the right person to assist with the activities of daily living, makes all the difference in the world to so many people.

What makes me an excellent caregiver? I've spent many years working in hospitals and cancer patients, physicians offices, nursing homes, and private home care. The many teams I've worked with and amazing patients with so many varied needs have only strengthened my desire to care for others! I treat people as I would want to be treated...it really is that simple. Kindness, compassion, humor, experience, courage and strength are what I bring to every job.

I started caregiving at 19 in California i worked at a active living retirement community. I loved hearing anything anyone had to say. I met people who still had their tattoo from concetration camp. Hitler I met people who fled from all sorts of the world to be here. I respect my elders and take every word of wisdom they give me as a privilege to hear. I am the oldest of 7 siblings and i have always been the nurturer in my family. I have a lot if experience from over the years. I have also obtained a certificate for working in Respite care. For young adults and children with developmental Disabilities. I can also work with quads ect. And people with Addictions. I can work in a facility or privately. I pay attention to detail and ensure I follow instructions correctly to give as much care, help, and hospitality to my patients/residents. I ensure they're at a good mood, try to put a smile on their face which is something they tend to look forward to on a daily basis. I am an open and energetic person that is willing to go above and beyond to meet my goals and daily tasks as best as I possibly can. I chose to be a care giver because I enjoy the thought of helping others rather than helping myself. It's always highly appreciated even if it's the smallest help I could offer just to ensure they're safe and comfortable. I'm personally proud of being able to put a smile on someone's face even when at their worst part of their day. What makes me a great caregiver is I have passion for helping the sick and the elderly. I worked as a nurse for six years before moving to the US and I am back in nursing school. Taking care of people for them to feel better is something I love to do. I have an older mom and I treat my patients the same way I want my mom to be treated. I listen to patients and get them what they need as much as possible.

I am caregiver at my core. I have a variety of experiences and extensive training from spending 8 years as a CNA, working in memory care, Skilled Nursing & doing private in home respite. I spent 14 years as a Social Worker after earning a Bachelors in the field. I then raised 4 kids while running a successful piano studio. In 2013 I went back to school & earned a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant which I feel combines my love of Caregiving with both my experiences as CNA & Social Worker. Home Health is stressful and crazy and I miss the relationship building. Looking for a different setting to apply my knowledge, skills and love of helping. I am a senior care professional with over 15 years in the retirement industry. I am also a trained exercise instructor and love to help everyone improve their quality of life by daily movement and exercise. I have a passion for helping seniors maintain their independence through movement and cognitive activities. I would love to work with your loved one and help them maintain an active engaging lifestyle. The most important thing we can do each say is "show up!" Through creative planning and engaging each person at their level of interest we could venture on a dynamic journey where everyone is blessed along the way. I have been CPR/First Aid certified for over 30 years and am well trained in dementia care (especially Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease) My most memorable moments with residents have been engaging them in daily exercise both for the body and the soul!

I have been a RN since 1966 and also a Nanny for Special Needs Children. I am now retired from Hospital Nursing. I have been doing Home Care. I enjoy taking care of others. I like home care because it allows people to stay in their homes and lead a life as close to what they desire while in familiar surroundings. I volunteer at a community clinic at least 2 days a week as a nurse. I also do food demonstrations on weekends.
