I am a f. I have worked with the elderly in the past and found it-to be rewarding. I feel I am compassionate and have always enjoyed be around and helping the elderly, I worked in a nursing house for three years when I was younger and did home care and helped take take of my mother before she died.I have also cleaned for the elderly for over 20 years. I love the fulfillment I receive by being a care giver. My first job, off the farm, was as a CNA in a retirement home. There I cared for one of several wings full of elderly people all with various levels of need. I have found that working with the elderly and being able to bring stability and comfort to their daily lives, the most rewarding job I've ever had. I take care of elderly couples in their 90's to ensure their life quality at home. Love my references.... Today, my grandma is still living independently in a very large home; at the age of 99; that she has maintained for many years. With some outside help, such as myself, she is able to go on living there instead of a retirement home. I look forward to working with my clients and see how I can make things safe and capable for them. I've also come to realize, that even a person, my own age, can have so many needs too and with just the right person to assist with the activities of daily living, makes all the difference in the world to so many people.

What makes me an excellent caregiver? I've spent many years working in hospitals and cancer patients, physicians offices, nursing homes, and private home care. The many teams I've worked with and amazing patients with so many varied needs have only strengthened my desire to care for others! I treat people as I would want to be treated...it really is that simple. Kindness, compassion, humor, experience, courage and strength are what I bring to every job.

Hello, I currently am a social work graduate student with aspirations to work with those within hospice and palliative care. I have several years of volunteer experience with St. Alphonsus Home Health and Hospice where I act as a companion, provide respite and family support, and help with activities and light cleaning. What makes me a great caregiver is I have passion for helping the sick and the elderly. I worked as a nurse for six years before moving to the US and I am back in nursing school. Taking care of people for them to feel better is something I love to do. I have an older mom and I treat my patients the same way I want my mom to be treated. I listen to patients and get them what they need as much as possible.

I have been a RN since 1966 and also a Nanny for Special Needs Children. I am now retired from Hospital Nursing. I have been doing Home Care. I enjoy taking care of others. I like home care because it allows people to stay in their homes and lead a life as close to what they desire while in familiar surroundings. I volunteer at a community clinic at least 2 days a week as a nurse. I also do food demonstrations on weekends.

I am very caring, giving, and a friendly person. I recognize strengths, weaknesses, and like to help people. I am a people person and like to make people feel at home whether they are at my house or I am at theirs. I am very respectful, polite, and pay attention to detail. I grew up family oriented and have experience with elderly people, having my own grandparents. I learned to talk and walk slower, speak louder, overall enjoy their company, and appreciate them. I know they enjoy mine. It is important to me to help someone have a better day and knowing that they had a great day and experience as well. I would not be here today if it weren't for my grandparents and others. I enjoy going to someones house and spending a few hours or the day with them, knowing that they were looking forward to seeing me and that they would have a great day too because of the impact I make on their day.

I have been doing home health physical therapy since graduating in 2016 with my P.T. assistant degree of applied science. I see the needs and struggles of seniors and implementation of in home care to keep them happy and in their home is an important thing. I still do home health physical therapy so I would be unavailable until late afternoons.
