Hello! My name is Andrea, you may also call me Andy (for short) I've been a CNA since 2008. What's helped me enjoy my career more than anything is my residents & families. I consider everyone I have got the pleasure of taking care of like extra grandparents and I couldn't thank their families enough for sharing them with me. I've been trained & also have worked with Alzheimer's, & dementia. My grandmother whom I took care of for a couple years also had this disease. I've been trained on hoyer lifts many times. Also I've been educated on puree foods, thicken liquids & mechanical soft. I have a family of 2 of which I absolutely adore. My 13 yr old son & 1 yr old little girl. They keep me busy when I'm not working our summers consist of baseball games, swimming & learning something new everyday.

Hello! First and foremost I want to thank you for concerning me to take care of your loved one. I take pride in being a caregiver! A good caregiver is patient, flexible, and has empathy and compassion. Those are exact reasons why I knew I wanted to take care of people! At a very young age I realize that I always wanted to help people. From taking care of younger siblings to my grandpa when he got sick. I wanted to make sure that quality of life was being lived to the fullest. I enjoyed seeing others happy because I was able to help. I knew my passion of caregiving really took a toll on me when I started my first CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) job. The experience I received really grew my passion for being a caregiver!

I am 57 years old mature, responsible and experienced caregiver from Bloomington.my background is in Elementary Education but in the last 10 years or more, I have worked as a Home Health aide in senior facilities and residential. My services can provide companionship, light house cleaning, meal prep, shopping, strands, take to appt. Personal care, and pet care if needed. My goal is to provide services to help a client live more independently in their own home environment and give the families peace and assurance that their loved one is in great hands. I am a people person, have a great sense of humor, intelligent, as well as common sense, and very outgoing. Great multi-gasket as well as great communicator. Dependable and rarely ever get sick! Most of my career has been as a caregiver. There was a brief time that I worked in accounting completing my degree in 2015. It seems that I am doing what I enjoy the most helping others.

I am a chatty and enjoy friendly conversations. I love to laugh and see others happy. I'm compassionate and patient. I enjoy helping others and make a difference. Most of all I love hearing stories of how different the world was years ago. My greatest accomplishments are my babies. I have an 18 year old boy serving in our Military, a sassy with class 4 year old little girl, and a spunky, energetic , unbelievably strong 2 year old little boy that remind me daily of how lucky and blessed I am.

I am a good caregiver because I take care of all my patients the way I would want my own parents treated. I always make sure that he/she is comfortable & happy before I walk away.

I am empathetic and compassionate to foster a genuine relationship with the patient. Being a family member figure makes me feel I am doing my part in keeping the patient's loved ones up to date with daily activities. I am very sensitive and open with a patient's fears. I strive to keep them comfortable and remind them of their important contributions within the family. I want them to know they are cared for, loved, and that I am a caregiver that they can trust.

I am well experienced. I became a caregiver, more than twenty years ago, to give quality care to those in need. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. I have had Certified Nursing Assistant training, Direct Support Professional training, Qualified Medication Aide training, and am well read with experience as Physical Therapy Aide. As a caregiver, it is nice to have both a decent medical vocabulary and an interest in continuous learning about the functions of the human body.
