The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I enjoy making sure client are safe, healthy, and comfortable and will treat my clients and family members with respect. I started home health aide in 2000 and I have excellent letters of recommendation from clients and my past work history. I am dependable, honest, work well under pressure, I enjoy doing activities with my clients, and playing educational games. What makes me a great caregiver is the opportunity to take care of some great people who need help and appreciate good help. I enjoy talking to people and listening to stories that so many elders have. I am very compassionate and do not frazzle easily. I have extensive experience with dementia patients. I recently became a certified Death Doula, specializing in personal care for dying patients. A personal achievement I am most proud of is raising my three children with my husband of 37 years. They (children) have grown to become great adults and that's all a parent can ask for.

Caregiving is what I live for and has been my job for as long as I can remember. Whether providing a helping hand and services to relatives or neighbors, the appreciation for companionship means the world to me because the responsibility is shared amongst the caregiver and patient for personal achievement and growth!
