The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I'm a loving, and caring individual. I have a 92 year old mother who I care for, and I also cared for several elderly, and adults with disabilities. My love for helping and caring for others. Being able to assist, and do for them such as bathing, cooking, walking them, shopping, making sure they take their medication as directed, talking to them, and making sure their needs are met is such a joy to me . I became a Caregiver/Home Health Aid while caring for my grandmother who passed away. After she became ill - I cared for her, bathed her, changed her and her bedding, fed her, watched TV and read with her and cooked and cleaned for her. I enjoyed doing this and spending time with her knowing that she was getting the proper care. I have many skills I am a violist, a dancer, a bartender and I Home Health Aid. I enjoy all of these and what I enjoy most is getting to know the different people.

The achievement I am most proud of is becoming an advocate for domestic violence victims.

What makes me a great caregiver is. I have a passion for others. I have been in the medical field for over 20+ years I've worked with individuals with disabilities as well as the elderly. What I enjoy most is being able to help someone that can't help them selves. A personal achievement I'm proud of is being with my current employer for 5 years and I'm in my 6th position moving up.
