For the many years that I have been taking care of the military men and women, I have loved the joy and appreciation that they give back. I'm a certified nursing assistant as well as a certified medication technician. I also have CPR and First Aid training. I have 11 years of experience. I've worked for my current employer for 11 years. I was also a school nursing assistant for 3 years. I have worked with the elderly in their homes.

All of my experience has been hands-on and I can assist in all aspects of home care from companionship to bathing/dressing, to meal preparation. I am a certified CNA / LPN With the Maryland Board of Nursing and also certified in First Aid, CPR and AEDs for adults and children. I became a caregiver because I have a great passion to care for people. I love putting smiles on people's face in which is a healthy therapy for people I care and work for.

I have always felt a calling and a passion for caregiving. I have over 15 years of experience providing compassionate care in Skilled and private homecare settings. I am a single mother and student at UMGC. Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Gerontology and Aging Services and a minor in Psychology, and proudly graduating in December of 2024! From there, I plan to work towards a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. I am dedicated and dependable, and the hourly rate is negotiable depending on the level of care and time of day needed, etc.

Since growing up, I've always loved taking care of my siblings, even the older ones! This caring nature became a part of me through adulthood. In addition, I chose childcare as my course of study in my senior high school year. Then, after working in the Healthcare industry for over 10 years. It became a part of me. The feeling I get from knowing that families appreciate the love and care that I give to their loved ones is one words can't explain. This is my passion and a career path I truly appreciate!

I am a 54 years old from Banjul the Gambia W/Africa I came to the US since 1992 with my family,then in 1993 I started as a .HHA and then become as a CNA in 1994 I like to help people that's what makes be join the home care field I am license and certified I worked with Alzheimer's, Dementia and Hospice patients .

I became a caregiver when I started caring for my grandmother as a young girl. It was not easy when I first started but I like the fact that caregiver needs patience to care for his or her client, which has helped me in my personal life. I have work as a caregiver for five years and I love this job because of how I put smile on people face, helping people in their daily lives. I have work with clients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson, Dementia, Stroke, Diabetes, Cancer and a lot more. I am also interested in furthering my education and becoming a nurse practitioner.

I am a loving and caring person and I love helping others. I love my job and what it allows me to do for others. I have been on the receiving end of having a loved one get very sick and bounce back and forth from nursing home to hospital so I know all too well not just the physical but the emotional strain that situations like these can have for people and family's. This is why I try my best to help the best I can in any situation. I choose to get into this line of work because unfortunately I had to see first hand with a loved one that not everyone is properly taken care of or even cared about in these situations and that is just awful and unfair. When my loved one passed away I vowed to make a difference, even if its just one person or a small few its better then none or just doing nothing.
