Hello I am Tanisha Knight, Before I started working in this field of health care. I took great passion and love to care for my mother who was terminally ill 23 years ago. After that I knew I was meant to do this line of work. Giving a person hope after loosing all hope is the beauty in why I love working in the health care field.

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I believe an achievement that I can truly be proud of everyday is that I have the ability to take life as it comes and always put things into perspective. I hold my family close to my heart. I cared for my grandmother for six years and my mother for a year when she broke her hip I also had a client I cared for until he passed away in December and I have worked with hospice several times once here with Tom and in Ohio I worked with hospice with several clients I just enjoy being around the seniors they have so much to offer and listening to their stories I really enjoy I also enjoy showing them things that I do and I like to involve them in things that I do and have them show me things that they used to do and do it I just get a lot of joy out of seeing them smile and listen to them

I am a seasoned caregiver with 20+ years experience. I have worked as an LPN in all areas of care- Hospital med/surg. OB/NSY, ICU, E.R. Also many years as charge nurse in nursing homes. In 2008 I decided to leave the rat race of facilities and get back to what nursing is supposed to be. I love doing 1:1 care of my clients and families. I enjoy being a nurse. I have 20 years of experience. I especially enjoy working with the elderly. I started my career as a nursing assistant, trained med aide and then went for my LPN.
