Hello I am Tanisha Knight, Before I started working in this field of health care. I took great passion and love to care for my mother who was terminally ill 23 years ago. After that I knew I was meant to do this line of work. Giving a person hope after loosing all hope is the beauty in why I love working in the health care field.

My name is maggie i am 42 yrs of age, a single mother of a 23 yrs old son who is now in college. I am a certified nurse assistant for over 13 yrs now and still do enjoy working with and caring for seniors/elderly people. I became a caregiver because i love people and will always enjoy being around people. What i do like about being a caregiver is that i make a big difference by helping a person when they need me the most and i am there to give them that caring hand. My personal achievement i am most proud of is that i do understand now what it means when a person just can"t do things they use to do on their own anymore and they have to depend on others for their adl and that makes me more aware that it could be me someday so, i truly give care s to people that i serve with so much attention,love and compassion.

My passion for healthcare began about the age of five. For many years my dream career was to become a doctor. As I aged and researched into a career as a doctor, I realized that medical school was far too expensive for my financial situation. Regardless, of this financial set back, I knew that healthcare was the career field I wanted to pursue. I have always had a caring, loving, nurturing, helpful, compassionate, caregiver disposition and character. The greatest personal reward for me is the joy I feel at the end of each day knowing I have done something to make someones day happier, healthier, and more productive. I find joy in seeing others happy, healthy, and successful. I cared for my grandmother for six years and my mother for a year when she broke her hip I also had a client I cared for until he passed away in December and I have worked with hospice several times once here with Tom and in Ohio I worked with hospice with several clients I just enjoy being around the seniors they have so much to offer and listening to their stories I really enjoy I also enjoy showing them things that I do and I like to involve them in things that I do and have them show me things that they used to do and do it I just get a lot of joy out of seeing them smile and listen to them

I just love helping people becuase it reminds me of times when my grandparents where living. The older generation gives the best advice! I love learning from them!
