I am trustworthy with training, education, and guidance with caring for families , so they will receive emotional support and are comfortable in their environment. I'm 46 years old. I been married 19 years and have a 18 year old son who just graduated this year. I personally love being a caregiver. I've done it on and off for about 10 years now. I've always liked to help people and have customer service jobs but at the same time I knew I wanted to do more, so one day I was offered to be a caregiver and I accepted it and have loved it since. I was a private caregiver for almost a year and not to long after that I become a private caregiver for another lady for about the same time. I did get out of it for a little bit because when they passed away it was hard on me and I had to find away to deal with it because I knew in my heart it was what I was suppose to do and that's what brought me to Carelinx . I now have been working thru carelinx over 2 years now with a lady part time and I love it and wouldn't change it for the world. I promise your family will always be treated as my own. Thank you.

I became a caregiver because I have a compassion for people . Especially the elderly. I love hearing stories about what they have done in their life. I also like getting advice from them. Hello my name is Ihilani ( E-He-La-knee) I started my caregiving career with my grandmother at the age of 10 when I went to live with her, after her hip surgery. That is when I knew that being with people during their most vulnerable time was a ministry and not just a job. I believe that no matter what age or stage in your life we can all need help and more important a sense of protection during these times. Mind Body and Soul all need to be nurtured when we are going through health issues. and it brings me great joy to know that I able to help others when they are experiencing medical, mental or soul pain or just a helping hand making sure that the quality of life that a person lives is safe and secure no matter what stage of life they are in. While working with a nursing home... My new patient, would not let me touch him. I couldn't take vitals, bathing was out of the question, he was just mad at the world and I understood. I noticed my new patient had extreme dry mouth and was very dehydrated. I asked, "What is your favorite drink?" He replied,I love orange juice and I have not had any in 4 years. "What???" I look at my new patient and said I will be right back. I returned to the room in about 5minutes and my patient says well this is a first. I asked What is a first? He replies back "That you came back" I look at him and smiled, Sir you do not scare me with a giggle and I have something for you I believe you will love.He looks at me, smirks what could you possibly have for me? walking towards him holding a half gallon jug of orange juice with a straw saying " Your favorite drink Sir." My new patient looks at me saying, I will let you take care of me. Remembering this story makes me tear up. We had a great friendship that only lasted for 6months before he passed, but we laughed, he taught me things and encouraged me in my life's journey and while I only had 6 months with him, when I think of why I love what I do I think about him

First of all, I always go into a home knowing that I will be making a wonderful friend. I love the elderly; I love their different personalities and all their "Life" stories. It gives my heart great joy to be able to make them smile. It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

I'm very passionate person and love Helping people and very professional in what I do. I once leave with both my mother and grandmother and I took care for both of them and the joy that comes with knowing u r making someone life easy. The joy that you know you are making someone daily activity life's becomes easy and they can depend on you . By knowing you are making someone life easy and present for them to live a normal life and woke up in the morning to make their daily activities easy to be free and normal .

I treat others how I would want to be treated and i treat them as my family some will flip and may call you names but at the end of the day they don't remember and I know that I would never hold anything against anyone I want to treat them as if there family was taking care of a family member of mine. You have to give respect to get it.
