I became a caregiver because my mother in law moved in with us a few years back because she was I'll and needed help. I started working with ambercare as her full time caregiver. I enjoyed helping and caring for her very much. It was like I had finally found what I was meant to do. So unfortunately she passed. I continued on as a caregiver. I have worked with many family's in the passing years, with whom I've met lots of great people to care for. Many have become good friends and almost like family. That's what happens when you spend so much time caring for a person, it becomes more personal but on a very professional level. I care about my clients unlike the care you may see in a facility where there are just not enough caregivers to go around. So no one gets that extra special care and attention. I love helping people and I believe everybody deserves to live with dignity and as much independence as they would like.

I am patient and highly compassionate, hard working, flexible, bilingual, trustworthy caregiver, experienced in home and hospital settings. I have been a caregiver for ten plus years and enjoy taking care of people. Over the years I have had many different jobs and only stuck with them for a little while until I got into caregiving. I enjoy taking care of people it gives me a sense of worth and satisfaction in my life. I enjoy meeting new people and making them comfortable and happy when they are ill or not.

In 2007 while still working in the title industry I also started volunteering for Hospice, which I enjoyed very much and still do. I volunteered for Hospice of NM while under different management but took many hours of training which resulted in many patients in companionship. Some of my folks did come off of Hospice but many did not. I was voted by management and personnel as the number 1 volunteer for the organization. After a few years I had to take a break do to my other work schedule then decided to go into caregiving. I am not certified. Only experienced. The need for the elderly or homebound is abundant, now more than ever. I see to many elderly alone and afraid. They need help.

I am a truly caring person who will consider the needs of my clients, as this is my life's work. I have been immersed in this line of work for the right reasons and am willing to be flexible with my hours based on a clients needs. I remain dedicated and preserve each clients wishes and dignity. I truly enjoy my work.

I've been in the field of caregiving 25+ yrs from working with DD waivers (child/adult) disabilities, assisting elderly in home health plus assisted living environments. I've received multiple certifications in CRP/FIRST AIDE, & MEDICATIONS, & many more. Any kind of hand over hand assistance requirements rather online or in person I've kept up to date personally & responsibly. I HAVEN'T ANY ISSUES WITH LIFTING PROPERLY & TRANSFERRING individuals, I am fully trained in this area. I've dedicated my life to fulfilling job tasks well doing something I REALLY enjoy most, helping others with daily life skills their unable to do alone, including providing companionship. I've learned being on time, reliability, & dedication is a priority through out my years of experience. I'm very proud of what I've learned so far and I've got plans to learn more everyday. One of my main achievements is watching , over viewing & loving an individuals day to day progress. As I grow with knowledge & age it's not always a JOB, it's being a positive inspiration & motivator to others in a time of need. I treat others they way i would want to be treated, & well working i always create a bond with my patients as if their family however still acknowledging there are boundaries being the employee. Meeting new people an being a team player gives me so much gratitude towards this profession I've established for so many years. I always attempt to apply availability PRN (as needed) in case of last minute emergencies being ON CALL. Flexibility variates (I try NOT to do overnights ONLY) however I have no problem with trying just to meet the needs of others and their families. I am very outgoing I love to help. I am there to give comfort to your family member. I started off doing hospice care and I just knew I had passion to help the elderly. I enjoy knowing that I am helping somebody and assisting them with the things they like to do in their own home. A personal achievement I am proud of is knowing that When I leave most of my patients they are in good spirits and love my company

As a very young person, I realized the need and honor of being a caregiver. I suppose that is why I chose to peruse a practical nursing career. Although, after I received my licence, I did not practice professionally; my education did come handy as my husband and I raised and cared for our two daughters and later when I helped care for my paraplegic uncle (a WWII veteran), my father (also a veteran) and most recently (for the last 6 years) my mother, until her passing in 2014. I suppose my greatest accomplishments are surrounded in the caregiving of others. With my expieriance and skills I feel that I can provide exceptional care for a family in need.
