My natural inclination to care for others was shaped by helping my family members with disabilities since I was a teenager. It's why I chose this profession - because I have a heart for it. I know American Sign Language learning with my parents and friends.

Am a hard worker. Safety come first make sure I listen and communicate with answers and questions the rite understanding. Any kind of hand over hand assistance requirements rather online or in person I've kept up to date personally & responsibly. I HAVEN'T ANY ISSUES WITH LIFTING PROPERLY & TRANSFERRING individuals, I am fully trained in this area. I've dedicated my life to fulfilling job tasks well doing something I REALLY enjoy most, helping others with daily life skills their unable to do alone, including providing companionship. I've learned being on time, reliability, & dedication is a priority through out my years of experience. I'm very proud of what I've learned so far and I've got plans to learn more everyday. One of my main achievements is watching , over viewing & loving an individuals day to day progress. As I grow with knowledge & age it's not always a JOB, it's being a positive inspiration & motivator to others in a time of need. I treat others they way i would want to be treated, & well working i always create a bond with my patients as if their family however still acknowledging there are boundaries being the employee. Meeting new people an being a team player gives me so much gratitude towards this profession I've established for so many years. I always attempt to apply availability PRN (as needed) in case of last minute emergencies being ON CALL. Flexibility variates (I try NOT to do overnights ONLY) however I have no problem with trying just to meet the needs of others and their families. It's always been very important to me to care for all people no matter who they are. Throughout my life I have developed the patience especially when seeking care for a loved ones with Alzheimer's or another type of dementia. Working for facilities and hospitals has given me the right tools/ training to help with other conditions that the elderly face throughout their years. I really enjoy being a companion as well and feel that this is my lifes purpose!

Hello! My name is Lydia, and I'm a mother of two (teen and preteen) and a recent transplant from Massachusetts. I have a very patient and calming presence (friends tell me that's my "super power") and am a sensitive and empathetic soul which has been a great support for me in my work as a caregiver and a teacher - I want to see everyone get what they need and feel important and cared for, and make it a point to listen carefully to what people share! I get a lot of joy and satisfaction from helping others which is what drew me to caregiving in the first place. I especially love to learn about people and help them find ways to appreciate and share their unique gifts in the world, which when elderly are often their stories and wisdom- that is one of my favorite parts of caregiving. My other passions are music and art/writing, and I've taught meditation for many years (and still do). I've also illustrated several books and am working on some of my own. I think everyone has a story to tell and along with the tasks daily living I also include that as vital - making sure people feel heard.
