I started caregiving for my grandmother who was suffering from dementia. Being a good caregiver requires a lot of patience. I provide that to people in my care and hope to assist them in ways that improve their quality of life. One of my greatest accomplishments as a caregiver was seeing someone recover cognitive ability after switching from nursing home to in home care.

What attracted me to being a caregiver is I am a people person I love helping others especially ones that can't do it on their own . It brings me joy knowing that I helped someone achieve their goals and we can share that experience together . What I enjoy the most is basically the flexibility the connections the smile on one's face . A personal achievement that I am proud of is being a mom and raising my children and my belief in god .

Being a caregiver is something that comes natural to me. As a young girl I watched my mom care for our elderly relatives and neighbors. I was always happy to assist her with helping others who couldn't help themselves. I enjoy showing great companionship to my patients. I love listening to their life stories, it helps me with getting to know and understand them. I treat patients how I would want someone to treat me or my loved ones if we were in the condition. The best reward I get from being a caregiver is knowing that I was able to help give someone a better quality of life because they're no longer able to do it on their own. I always be sure to treat my patients with respect and dignity.

I was my grandmother/mothers caregiver for many years. Unfortunately, in January 2022 she passed away and it left me feeling like a piece of me was gone. HELLO! My career as a caregiver started with a chronically ill father. Throughout my childhood and in my early teens my dad was very ill with diabetes Type 1.
