I am a dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) with over 15 years of experience as a caregiver and have provided care to individuals in different settings. I value integrity and compassion as key in pursuit of my career and strive to achieve this with the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. Humbling in way that it has made me to appreciate life, and rewarding for being a part of making someone's life better.

Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I'm an experienced competent, kind, patient nurse and had been working in the nursing field for 20 years now abroad and in here, USA. I treat my patients like they are my own family. I am both empathetic and sympathetic. I gained all my skills from the long years of my experience. I am extremely hardworking as they said but for me it's not about the hours or pay that matters but how my patient feels aside from the professional care I rendered. I am always happy to be of help. I'm a compassionate person that loves people and animals. The joy I can bring to others gives me so much happiness. I've provided care both professionally and personally to a variety of need levels. As the oldest of 3 girls and a Mom that worked as an RN doing 12 hour shifts, I learned caregiving from an early age and realized it was my calling. I'm a proud Ovarian Cancer survivor and very grateful that I have lots of living left to do! I love to learn new things and continue to take college courses each year to exercise my mind. I began providing elder care when a close friend moved her mother to the area and needed help with her daily care, due to her diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Since I was a child, I enjoyed being around the grandmothers. Listening to their stories was a very comforting and enjoyable time for me. I love continued learning and sharing, and helping to make others feel loved and cared about is important to me! I feel so fortunate to have made a positive impact in several elders lives. I have learned so much and continue learning. I'm so passionate about caregiving for I also was in a wheelchair the first years of my life as a child. Now I'm healthy and strong, but I know what it feels like to be dependent on people and my best strength is to anticipate your needs before you have to ask. I lived in California all my life. I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life. When your caregiving, your a care provider, friend, advocate, and grow so close and love the people you take care of. This profession has enriched my life, and it's my calling. I am very loyal and trust worthy. I became a Caregiver because as a teenager, my family took care of my grandfather who was bedridden and had dementia. I was in charge of his breakfast and morning medicine. I found much fulfillment and dedication to help those who can not help them selves. My personal achievements that I am so proud of, is that of the personal relationships I have made throughout my career! One client asked me, "Why are you so nice to me?"
