To introduce myself, I'm a mother to three amazing kids, that are now adults. I've dealt with ups and downs like everyone. I'm a very caring and honest person. I love helping those in my community that need someone there even if it's just to have someone to talk to or have a meal with. I have worked in the elder care field for 20 years. I love working with the elderly and being able to help them stay independent and in there homes for as long as possible. I am a patient caring loving lady, I have encountered many difficult situations in my years of care giving and i have faced them head on with an upbeat positive outlook.

I used to grow up in a beautiful facility where I was with my mother while she worked. Then, at age 6 I knew I wanted to help people just as I watched her do. The relationships she grew with these people were beautiful and she knew she was needed. I became a caregiver at age 17. I studied and received my CNA certification and started working doing what I love. I love to help my residents do things that they fill they can not complete on their own. I have worked with many different types of people and know that patience and compassion are the two most helpful things when dealing with my residents. I know that I will do everything I can to go above and beyond for the people I care for.

I would like to say I'm very outgoing. I love socializing and getting to know people, that's one of the reasons why I chose to be a caregiver. I love listening to stories and learning how different each individual is from myself. I love listening to everything to what other people have done in their life. I would say one of my greatest achievements in life is becoming a mother. It is something I have always wanted. I am impatiently waiting to meet my sweet babygirl.

My name is Jess. I have been a CNA since October of 2019 and have been working as a CNA since December of 2019. Before becoming certified, I worked with Hospice for 6 months. I initially started working in this field when my grandmother became ill and needed 24/7 care. After helping her for those last months of her life, I realized it was something I really enjoyed doing. I am very caring and find joy in being able to help others, especially those who have reached a point in their life where they need it most. I am a very compassionate person and make it a priority to put the needs of those in my care first. I love being around others and providing support of all kinds whether it be assisting with ADL's or being there for emotional support. I am a very understanding and patient person, which I feel is very important when providing care. I take pride in who I am as a caregiver. I have a huge heart and it is my passion to be there for others and take care of those who may need it more than most.

I have been a CNA on and off since 1993. I enjoy the home health aspect of patient care. I live in Lawton, and along with home care, I also have skilled/longterm care, assisted living, memory care and palliative experience. I am CPR and First Aid certified.
