I'm a certified nursing assistant as well as a certified medication technician. I also have CPR and First Aid training. I have 11 years of experience. I've worked for my current employer for 11 years. I was also a school nursing assistant for 3 years. I have worked with the elderly in their homes.

I went into this profession because i want to take care of people that can not take care of themselves and their families are unable to. I am very compassionate about the work that I do. While working in the nursing home, I was able to create trusting relationships and see improvements in those I took care because they knew they could count on me. Even in the hospital setting, I am able to see how my role as a caregiver can impact others lives even for the short amount of time that they are in our care. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? The relationships that are built and knowing that, even if its a little, my actions are able to help a person live a better life.
