I have been a caregiver for over 15 years in facility / at home. I want my resident/ client to know they are my first priority. I want them to feel and know that they do matter. I want to preserve their privacy, dignity, and independence as much as possible. I am an empathic person. I have studied and still studying Teepa Snow techniques. I believe that my role as a caregiver is to become like family and give the resident / client peace of mind in knowing someone is there for them even when they don't think that someone needs to be. I became a caregiver when a relative was neglected in a nursing home. I became a caregiver to show not all assistants are that way and I wanted to give the love and care to others that my grandfather wasn't shown. I want my resident / client to feel like she / he is the only person that matters to me. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is returning to school after so many years has passed. You are never too old to accomplish anything you set your heart and mind to do.

For me it's the joy of caring for elderly. I love working talking, getting to know new people. I have a soft passion for people. Taking care of my parents is what I always wanted to do so they could stay home. Nursing is my happy place.

And how to take care of people suffering with mental illness or who are unable to get out of bed. I am currently studying holistic medicine and massage therapy. My hobbies are art and education. I love to learn things. Especially anthropological and liguistics. I am not currently fluent in German yet but it is a language i appreciate. It is part of my ancestry. In this line of work i think it helps to understand life from the person in needs point of view. I work to make people as comfortable and encouraged as possible.
