I have a lot of experience from dementia, tracheostomy, catheter (male and female), diabetic, amputee,transfer,full transfers,and partial assist,hoyer life, sliding board, bathing,and home making just to name a few things so you can have an idea of some of things I have a experience in,but I assure you I did not name all of them. I've always wanted to be able to help people who needed assistance,and that just wanted some company. Being a caregiver is an amazing job, it's the one on one that you get with the clients, being one on one,helps you to actually get to know your clients. I've always loved being around people and trying to bring a smile to their face. I am the mother of two high-spirited an amazing young men ages 23 and 20. My from his son moved out 2 months ago. So I would like to do more to fulfill my life and doing for others and helping others gives me that for filament and joy. I plan to be moving to Mobile the end of March.

I am a great caregiver because I first learned how to be one by helping my parents and my brother. They had certain disabilities, both physical and mental/psychological, that touched my heart and helped me realize the importance of quality of life to everyone, not just to those who are healthy. Then, I achieved 89 credits towards my BSN (bachelors degree in nursing) and graduated with honors in Surgical Technolgy from Tennessee Technology Center, First Aid at MTSU, and am a licensed CNA and am CPR/BLS certified, and have a Leadership Award from St. Thomas Hospital. I currently work at a hospital as a CNA/PCA and am looking to work part-time to possibly full-time for someone who has the need for home health and/or caregiver needs. I have excellent references and take my work seriously!

I have been interested in care giving since I was a teenager. In high school, I was a teachers aid to mentally challenged students, which I loved!! I was the caregiver to my Grandfather before he passed away in 2012, and I also was a caregiver to my mother for 3 years due to her epilepsy. I have always been passionate about helping others, it's an amazing feeling knowing that you are not only making someone's else's day, but they are making yours too! I have currently been a caregiver to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for almost 4 years now, and I do believe I am one of the best caregivers in my company, for many reasons. I take pride in my position, I am very outgoing and believe I can get along with any client. I love my clients like they are my own children, and taking care of them is nothing but a pleasure!
