I've always loved being around people and trying to bring a smile to their face. I enjoy working with older people because to me they've got some of the greatest wisdom, amazing personalities and are the full of history better than history books. I have personal knowledge in working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I have taken care of cardiac patients ranging from A-fib ,congestive heart failure to quadruple bypass. I I enjoy and keeping their bodies moving with a little bit of exercise fit for their situation. I have a certification in CPR an associate's degree in science and have been certified as a CNA 20 years ago as well as went through a medical assistant program in 2005. I am the mother of two high-spirited an amazing young men ages 23 and 20. My from his son moved out 2 months ago. So I would like to do more to fulfill my life and doing for others and helping others gives me that for filament and joy. I plan to be moving to Mobile the end of March.

I think I'm good caregiver because I love what I do. I am patient and respectful of my clients, I like for them to feel comfortable and that they can trust me. The thing I enjoy most about this job is making them feel safe. I became a caregiver when my Grams got sick and I didn't know how to care for her so I went a and learned how and that was about 20 years ago. I am a very reliable Christian. I am a mother of 4, almost all grown. I became a caregiver for seniors 4 years ago. I fell in love with my job and was promoted very quickly to a coordinator and then a director. I obtained my Assisted Living Administrators License in 2017. I missed the hands on care though, and was on call 24/7/365 to staff for call offs. I was working 60+ hours weekly. The residents were my heart and soul, they were all like my own family, but staff issues made me no longer enjoy working in the office environment. I would like to get back to hands on care and make a difference in someone's life. My goal is to be able to help a family so that they can enjoy the time they have with their loved one and I can help take some of the day to day needs off the family so that they can focus on spending quality time with their loved one.
