Hello, my name is Melissa. I am forty-six years of age with an unique personality. Loving unconditionally, boisterous and fun loving are some of the best words to describe me. Experienced with all aspects of caring for elderly individuals. Ranging from hygiene to wound care. Creating a caring environment in any setting is a priority, whether it is in a medical facility or personal residence. Taking care of people is my passion. It is so rewarding when I put a smile on someone's face. Desiring to constantly grow in knowledge and experience. Past experiences as medical assistant, home health aide, in private care, and as a substance abuse tech. CPR certified. Currently attend Vernon College and I am two classes from earning my associate degree after which. I will return to nursing school . If you choose me to be your caregiver or your family member's caregiver, I will take care of you like you were my own family member, with kindness, independence, respect and most of all compassion and unconditional love. I started off just taking care of my father and grandmother like any daughter/granddaughter would and then went on to work with local veterans in my area who needed assistance. I realized I was naturally good at it and it brought an indescribable feeling when you help make someone's life a little easier. I gain a lot of satisfaction out of helping others and being appreciated for it.

Being a caregiver to anyone who needs help or just someone to talk to or help clean their house. Helping my grandparents really encouraged me to be passionate about helping those who have trouble helping themselves.

I am a great caregiver because I put my heart into this field. I genuinely care and do not look at this as just another job. I have sympathy and put myself in other people's shoes. I treat them how I would want my grandmother or mother treated, or even how I would want to be treated. This field isn't for everyone. It is for me though. I offer one of a kind companionship as I know the difficulties and struggles that people deal with daily. It is hard to not be able to do what you once did and needing someone to do it for you. I understand. I'm there when family can't be there or just won't be there or when there is none. I love knowing that I'm making a positive impact in someone's life.

I have a very bubbly personality and heart to do this job. I've been a CNA for 15 years and specialize in Alzheimer's and dementia. I enjoy helping the elderly have a better quality of life . I love being able to be that family member a resident doesn't have to get them thru each day!

I have been a caregiver since 1999. I love my job. I have taken vitals I help with bathing patients turn patients and feeding patients. I have also helped with teaching patients how to take care of there colostomys . I have worked patients who have had dementia and Alzheimer's.

I'm a single Mom of two amazing boys. Ive been a caregiver most of my life. I helped raise my younger siblings as an adolescent and teenager and helped care for my Dad during and up to the end of his two year long battle with cancer. I love helping people. I'm a personal care attendant for a local home health agency where I live now but all kinds of caregiving experience. I taught Pre-K through a Texas school ready facility on and off for several years and I spent brief period of time working at the local campus for the state hospital. I'm an Army girl. I enlisted in Army at 22 and spent the best summer of.jy life at basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri. My Dad was a Marine as well so I have a special place in my heart for veterans and their families. The other half of my heart is for special needs individuals and their families. Both of my children have intellectual disabilities and I know first hand the struggles that come with that type of disability. I love to cook (I can't bake a cake to save my life though). I love animals. I have 4 dogs. ,(All of them large breed dogs). I also really enjoy gardening and reading books. I'm kind of a nerd . I'm currently working on getting certified to be a licensed behavior tech which would allow me to work at an ABA facility helping children with special needs and their families.

I'm a very outgoing person, life is too short to be serious all the time. What I enjoy most being a caregiver is making a difference in one's life. I have a heart of gold , I really enjoy helping where there a need. I feel compassionate about being support for elderly since I was young. One day it will be me that needs help. One achievement I'm made is graduating from Vernon College and making positive changes in my life.

I am 21 years and planning on going for my CNA license sometime in the next coming months. In the meantime I love putting smiles on the elderly faces. In they do tell me I have a good attitude
