When I witnessed my dads decline from cancer I became interested in home health. I get the most enjoyment out of help my clients. I'm proud of being a compassionate person. I have always been interested in people and I enjoy caring for others. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is creating relationships and I believe it is an honor to care for others. I love being a caregiver, because my positive and joyous attitude can make a difference in someone's day. Besides the "regular" tasks of being a great home health aid, I like to do fun things such as crafts, puzzles, baking with the client. It's all about adapting the routine, to an individuals specific need.

My caregiver experience started with my mother who had dementia & breast cancer. While she was in the care homes I saw a great need for compassion. I'm a kind, caring, compassionate, professional with a positive, flexible, good organizational skills, happy outlook, dependable. I love to make people smile and laugh or just be content. How much my clients and their families appreciated my work. I became an extended family member.

I am a very happy go lucky person, I enjoy helping others and seeing my work help improve the lives of others. I have been a caregiver for almost three years now and I have throughly enjoyed my job and time being a caregiver. I love being able to see my residents and build a relationship with them. My residents are my family.

I've been in home health for last 15 yrs. I've done state facilities also working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I was a certified medication aid. I worked with g tubes. I've done pediatric home health. I went to Wyoming to take care of my mother before she passed. I took a CNA class while I was there. Was not able to go in front of nursing board because COVID hit and I was let go from my job cause I was working prn . So they wouldn't pay to let me get my certification. I've been out of work for past two years due to getting my personal life situated and being a stay at home mom which I'm not very good at . So I said I needed a job and started applying. I enjoy this line of work because flexible scheduling. And I enjoy taking care of people. I don't like the fact that I get too attached.. they become like family. And when they pass it's hard on me . But to know I made a difference in someone life. That's the reward.
