I'm a great caregiver because I come in the the family's home and I make their Lives easier. I come in to help not only the client but their daughters/sons/grand children as well. I always try my best to help out where I can, and to try to make the client feel safe and protected at all times. I started be a caregiver for my grandmother about 10 years ago. We had found out that she had heart disease and kidney failure , And dementia, and at her age we decided since she was declining we all pitching in at a family to keep her at home. I love seeing her face everyday when I come over to be with her, she didn't remember who I was, but looked forward to seeing me everyday. I enjoy being someone a family can depend on to be their for their family members and sitting and talking with the client is so much fun and educational all at the same time.

I'm a great care giver because I love helping people. My dad had a stroke,an my family an I took care of him for 11 years instead of placing him in a nursing home. That taught me a lot about being patient an understanding.

I became a caregiver due to my father becoming sick three years ago and took care of him at home rather than hospitalization. I find in home care to be more personal and compassionate care. I also feel that people recover faster when surrounded with their familiar items. I love the fact of being helpful and feel that i am giving back to a generation that is wise and strong and should be respected for what they have left for the younger generations. I started a flower garden for elderly and youths five years ago and it was a beautiful experience for the young who had never gardened and for the elderly; some who had no grandchildren. I believe that in life you can learn a lot from the past. I love history and being around to lend a helping hand. I have worked for several non profit organizations as a director and have excellent references and people skills.I am trustworthy and dependable, work well under pressure, take constructive criticism well and a great team player.
