I was an advocate for my special needs child who is now a productive self-sufficient adult. I moved my grandmother to Arizona to live with me so she could remain at home with family. I cared for her for 3 years. I have gone thru the end of life with both my grandmother and my father. I have cared for my husband who was diagnosed with lung cancers in 2015 and has been through one round of radiation and two rounds of chemo and is currently stable and doing well. I have loads of real life experience.

I have always been a care giver, I was a child care provider for 25 years and knew from day one that my future was in Senior care. When my mother became ill and ended up in a Senior home i knew I had to step up and get my mother home. I closed up my business of 25 years and spent the next year caring for my mother. I noticed immediately that my mother's health and her mental well being had improved greatly, I knew then how important it was for Seniors to remain in their own home, I spent a year with my mom and decided to hire a new caregiver for her so that we could go back to the mother daughter relationship instead of the senior caregiver relationship. I went in to two different home care companies to get more experience. I've helped some wonderful people stay in their home, I am very rewarded in this work and feel good deep down that I have been able to enable seniors to live healthily and with dignity in their chosen place of residents , and contributes to the caregiving needs of my community

Safari born in Congo , raised in different parts of the world. As a little boy. I experienced how one act of kindness can mean a million words when my sister too it upon her self to be a care taker of a neighbor who was neglected by his family just be cause of her illness. Even up to her last breath, that meant a whole world to this patient. From then it changed me. It's been 9 years now. I love what I do. One smile at a time.

I have worked in assisted living communities, retirement communities, memory care units, hospice, nursing homes as a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as working with individuals with special needs for over 15 years. I believe caring for others is what I am meant to do. I've cared for others almost my entire life and I will continue to do so as long as possible.
