I was an advocate for my special needs child who is now a productive self-sufficient adult. I moved my grandmother to Arizona to live with me so she could remain at home with family. I cared for her for 3 years. I have gone thru the end of life with both my grandmother and my father. I have cared for my husband who was diagnosed with lung cancers in 2015 and has been through one round of radiation and two rounds of chemo and is currently stable and doing well. I have loads of real life experience.

Hello, My name is Theresa Johnson I'm a senior myself,very active in my community,I worked at the RHJohnsonRecreation Cnt for several months before I had to take Medical leave for my breast cancer surgery,Im in a couple of clubs,which keeps me very active,I worked for Abrio Hm Health care for several years,I also cared for my own Mom in Chicago,before she passed in 2009,Mommy was a disable veteran,I belieave my calling in to care for others,its something that I take pride in ,I do it foe selfish reason,itmake me feel good inside,we wil talk when we meet.

Decided to go in medical field so I can have the knowledge and experience when time comes to take care of my parents. I am very easy going. Get along with others take great pride in my work ethic. I have tons experience with Alzheimer's, Dementia patients. Sometimes my heart is to big. My down fall is get easily attached to my residents and when it comes to them passing. It never gets easier. I was a high school drop out. I was a single mom for a couple years and my biggest achievement was getting a GED and going through college and earning a associate degree in business management and human services. Perfect Driving record. And Current full coverage auto Insurance. Type of job looking for is mornings 7am to 12pm or NOC shift 11pm to 6am. Monday thru Friday. I take care of my father on weekends and help watch my granddaughters sometimes on weekends. I do have a fulltime job 2pm to 10:30pm. As a Med-Tech. Looking for part-time to fulltime to supplement my income.

I am easy going, helpful, honest and really care of those I take care of. I have been doing this for over 3 years and because I really enjoy those I take care of is the main reason I want to continue doing this type of work. I have had clients that have quit this service if they couldn't have me. I love hearing the stories each and everyone I have taken care of have. Its not only being a good care givers that is important to me, but it is also educational for myself. I am just sorry I didn't learn this a long time ago.
