I am a care giver at heart! I have always been the nurturer of the family. I have 17+ yrs experience with caring for the elderly. 13 of those years specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. I learned from my previous residents' that it's important to have a sense of humor in this field of work, which I can think I'm a comedian some days! I never knew this work was meant for me until it just fell into my lap one day and was told by many I was a natural. I find it very rewarding seeing my patient's happy, see someone relieved of their pain, or just making that special bond or friendship after earning their trust. Whether it be just for a moment in each day, to see that I made my patient's life a little bit easier for them-makes caregiving so worthwhile. Something I have achieved would be staying in this field of work for so many years. There are people that simply aren't capable of doing the "dirty work" that comes with the job title. I can admit sometimes there will be "bad days,"but will always realize that at the end of the day- the good outweighs the bad....

I am a compassionate and gentle woman. I have experience in several realms: assisting in care for my grandma for several years before she passed, working with high school special needs students, as well as being previously certified as a CNA, and later on EMT. I made a career change to IT, so I didn't maintain my certs, but I still have a deep passion and yearning to help and serve others. I appreciate being able to make a difference in someone's life by giving care and companionship. Whether it be simply with my presence for conversation, or for assistance with daily tasks in the home, to assistance with self care. Being a caregiver has always held a big place on my heart, and you or your loved one will be in great hands if I get the privilege of caring for them.

I have been in the medical field since 1999. I have worked in Homecare, Rehab, Hospital and Office settings. I have specialized in Memory Care, Rehabilitation, Spinal cord injuries and Early Childhood Education. I especially enjoy Homecare settings where I can delivery optimal and comfortable care, companionship and assistance to those whom require/ desire these services. Along with my HHA certification, previous CNA license/ experience I have current BLS, and Drivers License and dependable transportation. I believe everyone has a right to high quality care, and it brings me great joy to provide it.

A few things about me are I am an extremely outgoing person, I love to make people smile and feel joy! I became a caregiver soon after I became a mother because I developed a passion for helping others and bring laughter around. Being a caregiver is more than a job to me, my residents become my family and I love looking out for them. Caregiving showed me the path I wanted to be on and helped me decide what I wanted to do with my life, I have pushed myself to lengths I didn't even know possible; and for that I'm beyond proud.

I like to help those in need with things that's y can't do for themselves. I previously worked at Brookdale and I now work at HomeWell. I am very outspoken but shy also. I'm proud to be able to care for those who need help in certain areas.

I have a great personality. A little shy in the beginning but I open up when I feel comfortable.
