I enjoy helping people especially those who just want to feel normal and be able to assist with them functioning on their own. I started with caregiving about 5-6 years ago with my grandmother who had a stroke. I've worked with both the elderly and mentally disabled.

My personality positive attitude, very welcoming and understanding. I have a disabled brother and I care for him so I put a little extra care in as if they are my family. I enjoy getting to know the family and the person and become apart of their circle . I have achieved so much thus far I'm a CPT,Medical assistant, HHA, and still pursuing a nursing degree.

Im a great caregiver because I have 2 beautiful daughters and always trusted that they were in great care when they were small and I worked. I also cared for my mom when her health failed. So from caring for them and making sure they had great caregivers makes me know that whomever needed a caregiver would want someone that has a caring heart for people and would treat them as you want to be treated also their love ones. In 1986 I furthered my education in the healthcare field and from then until for I've been working as a Certified Nurse Asst., Home health aid Private Duty Caregiver. I currently operates an Adult Family Care Home were I have live-in Mental impaired residents of whom I've cared for for many years, I also work with Developmental Clients, Alzheimer's Residents too. I love caring for the elderly, Mental, and disabled persons that need help with ADL and that are unable to provide services for themselves. I don't single anyone out or label them I treat them as family and as they are just as you and I HUMAN I see myself not being able to care for myself and often feels that I could be in the same position and would want someone who cares about me and my needs and have the heart to help in areas that I m in need of. So from 1980 until now my heart still goes out to those in need of CARE.

When I was young I help my mother run her daycare and one day the opportunity came for me to do more and I became a caregiver at 19. I don't think I could have found anything else that I would have enjoyed as much. There is nothing like walking into a room and seeing the patient smile because you are the and knowing that for a moment that the have joy and its because of you. Trained in Dialysis care. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I enjoy helping people. I enjoy sitting and listening to people who enjoy sharing their stories with me when they were younger, or just talking about life in general. As a child I always knew that helping people was what God created me to do and I believe that everyday as I go about my day I see that this my true calling, and I believe that this is what I am suppose to do. I interact with patients all the time when they come into their appointments and there is never a dull moment. They share, and I listen because some have no one to talk to and I believe that me being that person that can talk to not only help them but also helps me to become a great listener and they thank me for that. I am very dependable and very realiable and I am vey compassionate about my work and my job. I am a very positive person and I truly believe that is what make my job easier to do because I love helping people and bring a smile to their faces.

I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when i did volunteer work in a nursing home at the age of 17. The most i enjoy about taking care of others is seeing them happy, feeling loved and being able to give their loves ones a break.
