I have ben a caregiver for 30 years i love it im a cna and its one of best the best things i have ever decided to do.

I'm attracted to being a caregiver because I used to work in a nursing home as a cook an dietary aide, and seen some of them nurses mistreating the residents an it hurt because that could be anyone of my family member some day. So I wanted to make a difference in people's lives, I love people an listening to their story of life. Happiness, opportunity to grow an learn new things as well as making a long lasting companionship with the person I may be caring for is what I enjoy the most about being a caregiver. Personally completing my GED after being told I would never amount to anything, is one of my most proud personal achievements, besides become a father and raising my children the right way. I'm Very out going, down to earth kind of person, Love to clean, cook, help out a person that needs help, where help is needed. I have helped with loved ones, cleaned house, bathed people, and just been a listening ear for someone to talk. I started doing home care with my family first, I have been doing it for 19 years now while im living in the home with my parents. The most that i enjoy about being a care giver is that you get to meet different people and also see their smiling faces when you get to their house. I extremely proud of the person i have become due to learn alot of different people that i have came in contact with through out life so far.
