I keep a big smile on my face at all times when I'm with my patients I treat them how would treat my own grandparents I'll never get loud with them. I have always wanted to be a caregiver since I was little but I always had a goal to always work in the medical field. I enjoy the most about being a caregiver with helping them & they make my day.

I love caregiving because it's such an intimate friendship that you get to build with others in our community and it has impacted and inspired me in a positive and powerful way. I started caregiving to help my mom pay bills when I was 15, and I have yet to look back and regret the time I've gotten to spend with people in their golden years of life. I will forever be grateful for the time I have spent with the people I've gotten to care for.

For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help.
