I have been doing home health care for over 20 yrs now. I love my job and what I do. If I can make someone's life easier then I know I have done my job. I Love people And not just anyone can do this kind of work. You have to have a passion for people, and that's what I have. Every client I have had love my work. I'm good at what I do because I love what I do.

What I love most about being a caregiver is that you know your doing a good deed by having a relationship with you client & caring for them with the most respect & being dependable.

I was born in Lansing MI, and at two I moved to Grand Rapids, I went to Eastern Elementary School and then to Creston High School. I took up Machine Shop and Architectural Drawing. I was the oldest of 12 children. After high school I took a Tool & Die Apprenticeship. I also worked as a volunteer for the fire department. I built a house in Sparta Township where I live with my wife. I retired from Tool Die 2010 because of cancer. Then I started volunteering at Rest Haven Homes which ended up in a paid position. I enjoy making some one happy and to do the things they enjoy and also to be a companion and a friend. I do transportation to doctor appointments, dentist appointments, shopping, movies, out to eat, visit a friend, errands, or travel, I also do in home care with dressing assistance, mobility, exercise, meal planning, and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, etc. I have completed classes on Hospice Care, Dementia, and worked at Rest Haven Homes for 12 years, and 3 1/2 years with Leaves Personal Care.

Love feeling needed. Also love giving the patient the best, day possible. Love to watch old movies, bring old postcards, or cook be dishes their mother made in the past. Miss my own grandparents terribly. Caregiving fills that void for me. Love, it when my patients relive the past, and feel young again! Proud of taking care of people and helping them regain joy, in their last days.

I have always been a caring and compassionate person. I started my medical career as an army medic. I then became a paramedic and have continued to help people of all ages and medical conditions in many different settings. As a registered nurse I have been able to continue to provide care in the emergency room, long term care facility and urgent care. I love to meet new people. I find that most people can find something in common to talk about. I am very proud of my son, and enjoy living close to family.

I love working with people! I have worked in Mexico and Utah with all ages of people but I truly enjoy working with the older generation the most and I believe I am good at making people feel comfortable. I live to encourage people and help them feel important and needed to the end!! All generations need to be together and there is so much we can learn from our elders. I am a Christian but I believe everyone has the right to believe what they choose. I would love to meet you and be of whatever help I can be to you and your family. I have traveled, lived abroad, raised a family, worked as a secretary and as a care giver. I hope our paths cross!

I have cleaned residential homes and cottages since 2004. I am a detailed cleaner and give 100% in what I do. I love kids and fury pets but prefer non-smokers (inside home that is) and can be flexible as to what each family's needs may be in their home. I am also a state certified CNA with my MA, PCA certificates and up-to-date BLS I have worked the ER, Med/Surg and ICU along with private duty, Dementia and Alzheimer's at a assisted living. I love to cook, clean, I love to be organized. The thing that made me become a caregiver I use the care for my grandma before she passed away and also cared for my aunt that has scoliosis. So that made me a strong helpful person , Also when I see a person struggling with their groceries outside of the stores I like to help people put them in the car or holding a door open and etc. I'm a very caring person.
