My name is Lisa. I have been doing Care giving for about 25 years. I am a very caring , loving and compassionate person. I treat anyone who I'm caring for as I would want my own loved ones and Family members to be treated. I was previously a Certified Nursing Assistant and am currently PCA. I enjoy caring for people because if I can help someone's day just alittle bit better or easier then it makes my day.

I started caregiving for my grandmother who was suffering from dementia. Being a good caregiver requires a lot of patience. I provide that to people in my care and hope to assist them in ways that improve their quality of life. One of my greatest accomplishments as a caregiver was seeing someone recover cognitive ability after switching from nursing home to in home care.

I am a caregiver I have been taking care of the elderly for 6 in a half years. I love it I have a passion for it. And nothing is more rewarding then the one you take care smile at you. And they become my extended family I live it.

I am a very patient and understanding person, who loves being able to help our elders remain at home. I love how rewarding it is to be a caregiver, and being appreciated feels amazing. I enjoy their company and conversations. Each day is an achievement, knowing the little things that made their life better.

I grew up on a farm in Ohio with 8 sisters, 1 brother, 3 dogs & several cats, ducks & guinea pigs. I have volunteered most of my adult life with a multitude of organizations including: Hospice, the Humane Society, Make A Wish Foundation, the local library, Kitty Konnection (a feral cat rescue), the Rape Crisis Hotline, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, my local church. I enjoy helping people and the company of animals. My hobbies includes music, baking, traveling, reading, movies, and art museums. I have 2 grown sons & 6 grandkids, all of whom live in other states.

My personality traits I have are that I am every loving I love to help people I like to know my clients and make their life's easier and stress free I am a every helping person What attracted me to being a caregiver was that I know family need help and I wanted to help I want to be there for someone like I know someone would be there for my family or me one day. I'm a very outgoing caregiver that cares more about how the residents is feeling and the comfortability than my own! I love taking care of people, and the smiles I get when I come to there home to help them out is amazing! What I enjoy the most about caregiving is the ability to learn and connect with my care senior! I try my best to help and understand the importance of caregiving! My personal achievements is working 70+ hours at the rest home. It's a achievement for me because I love working with them and growing with them is amazing!

I am a very caring, kind, intelligent, respectful, and responsible. As for what attracted me to be a care giver is I see so many articles and shows on tv showing all of these residents being abused and it broke my heart and I wanted to make a difference so I decided to go to a technical high school were I got my CNA as well as all of my other certifications. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smiles I get when I do even the littlest thing s for my residents I am not saying it is always easy or picture perfect but I think of my residents as family members and treat them exactly how I would treat my own family member because you always have to think they did not ask to be in there situation and that is what I always refer back to. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is I went to a technical high school and got all of my certifications there and now am currently attending a university to further my education while working per diem. As well as currently looking for a full time job so I can continue helping people while also saving money for college.
