Hello, I'm Ariel I've been working in the caregiving field for 4 years. I've worked mostly nursing homes, so I'm really interested in the one on one caregiving style. I have experience in CPR, first aid, AED training, and medication administration. I'm also familiar with memory care, worked it for 2 years. I got my STNA (state tested nursing assistant) license in 2018 through my high school's college program. I've worked for three nursing facilities and two agencies. I just love getting to know my residents, they always have such beautiful and timeless stories to tell, talking to them is truly my favorite pass time.

I've always wanted to be in health care since the age of 3. When I was in high school my mother had a stroke & I helped her with recovering. Welcoming you with warm wishes. Just wanted to share alittle about me. I'm 34 yrs old. I've worked since age 14yrs. My mom was a single mom raising 3 kids. I enjoyed working hard and I have always been a giving hearted person. I remember I used to get my paychecks an was so excited I was able to but my mom dinner from a days hard of work. I was first introduced to an entry level position in the State of Kansas as a Residential Trainer for people who face physical and mental challenges and I did that for 3 years. It was so rewarding. Very hard work but I have always been very open to learning new things and I enjoy challenges. If we stay in where were comfortable. The you limit yourself from learning and doing what you can to be the hands and feet for Gods kingdom. After doing that for 3 yrs I decided to get my nurses aide license and doing that for so many years has been such a wonderful opportunity. I absolutely love my elders and I AM THE VOICE WHO SPEAKS UP FOR THEM. I believe that there is way too many people shoved in a room with a facility that lacks sufficient staffing to give the residents attention to give them the essentials like a regular bath and hygiene and clothes put on. I've seen too much of the THE BAD AND THE UGLY in institutions and to me that's NO WAY for anyone to live or spend there retirement in. I love talking and sharing stories, praying, I enjoy providing exceptional care to all clients I come in contact. I'm very friendly. My passion in life is people going above and beyond the call of duty. I'm flexible and reliable as I dont have any kids. Just 3 sweet dogs. Hello! My name is Shelly, I'd like to share a bit about myself. I am a mother of 5, once they were all at school age I became a home care giver. I have only ever worked in an "at home" atmosphere, so I understand the needs and preference of keeping loved ones at home. I truly enjoy care for older clients, they are so intriguing and caring, which makes them easy to care for in my opinion. I am proud of the years of experience I have accumulated, and the range of skills I have. In any care situation I am able to adapt and provide the care the client or family of asks of me.

I am a recent college graduate who will be returning to school in the fall to study Nursing. I just recently moved to the Dover area and I am absolutely in love with the community. I currently work as a licensed STNA where I have the privilege of working with residents of the geriatric community and help those with late-stage dementia as well as those in our rehab unit perform ADLs and daily care. When I'm not at work, I love to travel, I love to write music, and I love to exercise. Anything to get me out of the house to do something productive! My long term career goals include becoming an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. The thing that contribute to me being a great provider, is that when I'm caring for your loved one I insert the same love and compassion as if I was caring for my grandmother or someone else in my personal life. I have two grandmothers that both currently suffer from Dementia and watching them go through the different phases really helped me grow as a woman. I realized that I had more to offer. While I wasn't as available to assist with them to the capacity of care that they required because of various reason at that time it made me realize that I had a love of helping those who can't help themselves. I also provide personal care and transportation for individuals with special needs and I must say its the most rewarding work I've ever done! I enjoy helping those who can't help themselves due to circumstances that they had no control of. The thing that I most proud of is that I followed my gut and I gave up Corporate America and followed my dreams of helping others , and I couldn't be happier!

I have worked in an Alzheimer's unit for about 6 months and I feel as if that is my calling or hospice care is.
