I'm a very kind, hardworking individual. I love taking care of people whether elderly or young, it's something I've always loved doing. I came from a family of caregivers as well my mother and grand mother were both excellent caregiver for a very long time. Which is one thing that attract ed me too caregiving.. I really enjoy the smiles that I can put on my residents faces, I also love encouraging them while letting the ones that can have their independency. Making someone's day or load a little bit lighter makes me feel excellent. One of my greatest achievements in long term care are deaths that I have prevented which range for cpr , to close observation , and even time management (quick responding).

I enjoy working for elderly people, I have compassion for them. I enjoy helping others, I have worked with elderly doing home Healthcare and worked in an assisted living for 17 years. I am able to help and serve others. I tend to leave a lasting positive impression on those I work for. That makes me proud knowing I make a positive impact on someone's life!

This trait has been given to me by God and has lead me to meet some of the most amazing people whom I've had the pleasure and privilege of caring for. Considering myself to be polite, loyal, respectful, energetic and compassionate I feel these are amazing qualities to have as a caregiver. Our clients need to be treated as you would want your own family members to be treated and I take pride in doing so. The hardest part I believe to be a caregiver is to grieve a lost client/ patient. After caring for them and growing with them it often hurts as much as it would to have lost a dear loved one. This comes with heartache but also with peace knowing that in their final days you , along with their family were able to keep them comfortable and shown the love and care they so desperately deserve , desire and need. This is also a personal achievement for me, being so empathetic and caring this was a struggle and will be , but thanks to the love and support I have also at home helps me see that I'm doing what I've been called to do and so thoroughly enjoy.

I am a great caregiver because I have compassion for the elderly and disabled. I became the caregiver for my daughter at her age of 18yrs old. I was 39 yrs old when she was in a car accident. She has a closed head injury and was in a comma for four months. I had to help her do everything from eating to dressing. This was 26 yrs ago, now she is in a assisted living home. My personal achievement that I am proud of is taking care of my daughter all of this time. I am not only a caregiver but a family member of someone that needs care. So I feel both sides.
