I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. This is my calling and I have enjoyed these last 11 years doing this.

I went to nursing school in 2014. I have my associates of science (AAS), and was working in a nursing home as a nurse assistant for 3 years. I really enjoyed with my elderly residents and taking care of their needs. In 2021, I started working for Carelinx and I've really enjoyed helping and meeting new people. I'm currently working to get my bachelor's as a geriatric nurse. One day, I hope to work in a nursing home to help my residents.

My personality & perspective of life helps me create greats bonds and connections with others. As a caregiver I like to pride myself with the gift of service. I have been blessed to work with some wonderful families and clients whose life stories inspire me in my personal development. What I like most about helping families is knowing that I am helping assist and uplift families with quality care for their loved ones.

Hello my name is Katlyn. I currently live in Pleasanton TX. I have been a caregiver since my early teens. I have always loved and got along better with my elders then people my own age it seems like. My current job I am a caregiver and I love all the people I help. They are more then just my clients they are like my family and I treat them as such. I love what I do and I love seeing the smile on their faces when they see me. It's not always about the health needs or daily things they need done sometimes it's about them having a social life as well. I will always go above and beyond what is expected and I'm happy to do so.

I love to be there for my elders and making sure they are takin care of all the time and paid attention to. Theyve been here before us. What has my attention the most about care giving is the thought of my grand mother's presence there with me before sure passed I was like her care giver. I knew her everyday schedule took her baths fed her cleaned up did laundry. And etc

I'm a very friendly person, always happy. I'm a hard working person, with a great personality. Always punctual.

I am a mature, friendly, intelligent and fun woman. I have been a caregiver to different family members and lastly to my own mother. She passed away in 2008 from Alzheimer's and liver cancer. I provided much of the care as my mother was a private person. It was rewarding and I learned alot with the AD support group. I am retired from a career as a health plan worker and would now like to help those in need of companionship, health plan knowledge for appointment setting, rides to appointments and other chores that they may need. I spent as much time as possible after retirement, at the nursing home where my aunt was living. I spoke of family history, showed her pictures, played her favorite music and took her out to the garden area. She loved flowers. There are many elderly who are in need of companionship and I am available to provide that.

I am efficient and patient. I prefer this type of work because in my many years of experience I am always learning something new about the client and job.

I love working with the elderly love listening to them about there lives what the did for a living and about there families how you can spend quality time with them and learn so much about them and how you can make a difference just by spending time with them I've been care for people for 16 yrs in assistant living to nursing homes and in the home health care I have experience in dietary I've been trained as a Medication aide for the past 2 yrs I'm a caring and compassionate person and willing to go above and beyond for the individual
